A lady declined my invitation for a date and so I said OK its not an issue. She told me to forget the issue. I took her response of face value thinking we're both in our 30's so we should be ok to move on as I only asked casually on one occassion.

Anyway several months afterwards I realised she was avoiding me and then she blew up at me for no reason. I hadn't pursued her and nor had she seen me to pick up on any body language. Her actions can only stem from the earlier as nothing else happened in between.

Why hadn't she moved on when she said to forget the issue? Why can't she forget about it?

Sometimes woman like/prefer "the chase" or the flirting rather than the actual dating. That is probably what went wrong here. Just because she didn't want to go out on a date, didn't mean that she wasn't interested, it just meant that she probably wanted to get to know you better or prolong the "flirting" stage.

well maybe she had more of a problem with it than she let on at the time,if it is as clear cut as you say its a little odd she would behave in that way.Maybe she has been avoiding you as to not let you think she was leading you on , maybe she was just having a bad day when she blew up at you. Maybe you had a lucky escape lol, but speaking from a females point of view, (despite my picture ) we are a complicated species lol even I don't understand me sometimes lol so how the heck I expect anyone else to I have no idea, but don't worry, put it down to experience and you have moved on she will in time.

She sounds like the kind of woman who plays games, and games always lead to tears (well at least as far as relationships are concerned). If I were you I'd move on and stear clear of her. Sounds like trouble. Unless you just ask her outright why she's being like this. Good luck

I'll bet she has spent alot of time and energy analyzing your every move since the time you asked her out. Then because you weren't devastated by her rejection, she magnified everything you did. She is emotionally unstable, steer clear of her!

She's immature, don't worry too much about it, she ain't acting like a grown woman but like a childish little girl instead, best to stay well clear of her.

maybe shes the type of girl who's easily affected if she finds out that someone is interested in her. i used to avoid guys who liked me cause its like you dont wanna see them if ever that i have to face being with them i blow up at them for no reason at all cause its like she pushed you out of her friend zone and whoever is out of that is someone who she cant face (but i got over it in a few years LOL) either that or she's crazy. =D

ask her why is she avoiding you. and why would she move on if there is no issue? i think she wants you to go after her, she's thinking you'll still pursue her after what she did to you. i guess..
