I am supposed to change this sentence and use a direct object pronoun in two different ways.
"Mis primos deben tener cuatro maletas en su casa. "
What I have got are these:
"Mis primos debenlos tener en su casa"
"Mis primos los deben tener en su casa"
But I don't know if they make sense at all. Am I supposed to include cuatro?

Mis primos las deben tener en su casa.
Deben tener is like one verb so las has to go at the end.

Mis primos deben tener cuatro maletas en su casa
Mis primos deben tenerlas en su casa ( las cuatro maletas)
Mis primos las deben tener en su casa a las cuatro maletas
remember maletas are femenine = LAS

As well as the grammatically 'correct' Mis primos deben tenerlas en su casa, you also hear, in Spain, Mis primos las deben tener en su casa.

Mis primos "las tienen" en su casa. In this sentence you are reference to las maletas but in mode indirect. If you want to said in mode direct then
Mis primos tienen las cuato maletas. Subjet: Mis primos. Objet direct: las cuatro maletas.
other mode is. "Ellos tienen las cuatro maletas" Ellos is the subject, tienen the verb and las cuatro maletas mean objet direct.
