A nuclear or atomic bomb has several effects. The main one is a HUGE explosion. A device the size and weight of a refrigerator has the explosive power of a hundreds of thousands of tons of regular explosives. Obviously, such a huge explosion would cause massive destruction of buildings & etc. and kill lots of people.

The next most important effect is the radiation that is released in the explosion which also kills people. Radioactive fallout - tiny pieces of radioactive material that gets scatered - may be around for a long time and continue to poison people who come in contact with it. See link.

Finally, the atomic bomb causes what is called and Electro Magnetic Pulse that can destroy nearby electronics.

Hope this helps.

Nuclear fallout.

Fallout is the residual radiation hazard from a nuclear explosion, so named because it "falls out" of the atmosphere into which it is spread during the explosion. It commonly refers to the radioactive dust created when a nuclear weapon explodes. This radioactive dust, consisting of hot particles, is a kind of radioactive contamination. It can lead to contamination of the food chain. Fallout can also refer to the dust or debris that results from the nuclear explosion.

the answer to this question is atoms (ever hear of the atomic bomb).

a nuclear bomb is made by the exploding of nuclear ATOMS. atoms exist in everything and everyone they are microscopic elements that make up matter.

hair atoms, skin atoms....tree atoms....they make up everything in the world and are the smallest part of something i.e. the essential ingredients for individual elements.

its complex but it wouldnt be nuclear physics if it wasnt
