I know that no one can say for sure where it will get hot or cold or dry up or whatever, but failing to plan is planning to fail. So assuming a warmer planet, where might be livable in 50 or 100 years?

For sure the coasts will flood. Someplace like Alaska could be good, but once all that perma-frost melts its going to be a mess. Plus they'll have black fly problems all year long.

How about someplace in the mountains? With a reliable water supply? What about food? What about electricity?

Some countries don't allow foreigners to buy real estate, so if that's an issue I happen to be American.

Sorry. You can't hide from this.

Global warming will cause massive costs to deal with. The result will be an economic depression affecting everyone.

Around the world, resource conflicts will cause wars. The US military is very concerned:

Let's look at both sides. Say it is true, you believe it and do something about it in your personal life. This means you do your part by buying smart; you recycle, you vote for candidates who support your views (when you are old enough), and, at a minimum, the degradation of the environment slows down. Perhaps you live longer. Now what if it isn't true and there is nothing you can do about what happens in the world. So you don't even try to change anything. In the end you'll die never knowing if something you might have done would have helped make things better. Just because global warming may not be true doesn't mean you can't be the best steward of the earth in your actions and make it an even better place. It doesn't look like we'll be colonizing other planets soon so let's try to live with the one we have.

Mr. E there are places in the USA that are very ready for global warming. For sure you have to do the following
-Avoid Low Lying Areas
-Avoid areas with intense heat
-Get green with a green house on your property if possible.

What then you need to examine is actually LEED homes or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, these homes conserve on fuel use and utilize special designer material thats environmentally friendly. This is very important as it is not higher in cost than other regularly built homes. There is a great post on exactly what you asked read it here: http://bestbuyrealestate.info/2007/11/07/global-warming-real-estate/
