Catholic Relief Services has an office there.... CRS began operating in Sierra Leone in 1963. During the 1970s and 1980s CRS supported maternal-child health centers and education projects. In the 1990s, in response to the war, CRS modified its strategy from development aid to emergency relief. By 1995, CRS was supporting displaced populations in all three provinces with essential food, medicines, clothing, shelter, and household items. Despite instability and insecurity, CRS continued to provide essential humanitarian services to the people of Sierra Leone throughout the war, thanks primarily to the outstanding performance of its dedicated national staff. Since the end of the war in 2003, CRS has been transitioning back to development aid. Currently, CRS has offices in the capital city of Freetown, and in the district towns of Kenema and Kabala.

The volunteers that support the Aid Workers Network put together a guide for organizations in the developing world regarding fund raising. I greatly expanded this guide, and make it available for free to any organization in the developing world. More information about this free guide is available on the web site listed below.
This is NOT a list of donors; this is a list of how to identify donors, and how to prepare your organization to be ready for scrutiny of a potential donor.
