No. God is a believer. The Father loves and believes the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son loves and believes the Father and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit loves and believes the Father and the Son. God is a communion. There is no communion without total trust in the one you are communing with. God is a believer within the Godhead and God is a believer of all God's creation.

You have hit the proverbial nail on the head. God cannot "believe" because he KNOWS; ergo, he is an atheist, since he does not believe in a deity.

If an uber complex being existed with the intelligence to create the universe you can assume a couple of things. Firstly, 'it' would probably perceive humans the way we perceive germs on a toilet seat, if indeed 'it' even knew we existed as a by-product of 'its' own creation. And secondly, if 'it' did perceive us, and perceived of us with any interest, religion, including Christianity, would be viewed as nothing more than bizarre prehistoric rituals. This is probably a Deist view, but if anyone truly believes there is a creator, deism is as far as they can go. Religion is historically, scientifically and psychologically debunked and ruled out as nonsense. If humans have reached a level of intelligence to realise this, then any higher power (presumably infinitely more intelligent) must be as close to being an Atheist as a deity can get!

Because he doesn't exist, he would know that he doesn't exist, and therefore not believe in himself. So, yeah, He's probably an atheist.

=P
