I have a huge test in a couple days and I still don´t really understand when to use each of the four past tenses in spanish. If possible could you also give an example using Hablar, Vivir, and Beber.

The four past tenses I am talking about are as follow.
Hablaba
Hablé
He Hablado
Hablía Hablada
I want to know when I use each one. I believe that Había Hablado is used when some thing occured before something else in the past. Hablaba is when something is routine. Hablé when it is done with in the past. He Hablado when it is recent. But I could be wrong.

I might determine my reply towards others, however I consider that the verb you desire is llevar. If you're talking generally, like "whilst I used to be in basic institution," then use the imperfect traumatic: Yo llevaba un uniforme However, whether it is in a precise time period, i.e. "Yesterday," then: Yo lleve un uniforme.

Sticking with the indicative mood, you could also have:

the past continuous - yo estaba hablando con mi mujer... I WAS talking to my wife ...

the pluperfect tense - yo habia hablado con mi mujer ... I HAD spoken to my wife ...

There are indicative and subjuntive tenses that all have past tenses. Which do you mean?

Take a look here.
