Say for example the following questions such as:

1. Do you own a cell phone?
a. yes b. no

2. Approximately how many minutes do you spend on the cell phone per day?
a. 0 - 20 mins b. 21 - 40 mins. c. 41 - 60 mins. d. 1 hour +

What i mean is like, how would I set it all up? most of the questions are yes and no with some like:

What is the highest level of education you have attainted?

with answers being

a. basic education b. high school c. some college d. college degree.

how would I input that to get some statistical regression numbers from excel? any help would be great! thanks

wish you wrote more detail on your question, but if you're asking how you could set up excel for multiple-choice answers from say a drop down menu, then i think that's 'data validation'.

whatever you need to do, use the help menu, and put your key point in the search box (ie, "regression"). i've learned a LOT about excel and it's all self-taught - a good majority of my experience comes from using the help/search engine.

Well, regression is a model of two variables to show the relation between them. so from the survey question that you showed us i would say you can have a model of the "the relation ship between the level of education and owning a cell phone" and i will give a numeric value to the answers say for Do you own a cell phone?
a. yes b. no i will give 1 to no and 2 yes and can give the values from 1-4 to the level of education. about formulating the model in excel I'm sure that the function help can show how to do it just decide what variables you will put in the model
