Hi. Loudspeakers are passive devices which means they only receive what is given to them.They do not create sound.The problem is they all sound different even though they are doing the same job.Everyone hears differently and prefers the sound of the loudspeaker that is pleasing to their ears. So ,to answer your question, you are the only one who can choose the speaker sound that you like.There is no other way.Don't go by other peoples recommendations ,you may be sorry.

B&w As2 Subwoofer

I had a chance to auditino the B&W. For me they didn't sound that good. I auditioned the 684 and 685, and there are cheaper speakers that outperform them. I haven't tried the KEF, but I can tell you to try Tannoys and Monitor speakers before yo umade a decision.
