You say your son is looking at you with a mean face? Sounds like he's unhappy with the way he's feeling. His expressions are a signal to his mother that something is wrong. Don't ignore his messages. He needs medical attention. 6 month old babies should have a happy face. Giving him NyQuil is not a good idea at his age or at least that's my thoughts. If you have medical insurance what is keeping you from taking him to the doctor? Or take him to the county hospital for evaluation. The baby may have allergies and possibly what you are feeding him may be causing him lots of mucus and the coughing. I remember when I was a baby I was allergic to milk and milk products. Actually, I was weaned on Goats milk. My point is babies have special needs and we don't always know these special needs so don't just assume he has a cold. Keep your baby warm and comfortable. Allow him a quiet place to sleep. Get him in for that check up now not later. If your baby is happy so will you be happy. We are out here for you so you don't have to be lonely. Your baby needs you to be strong. Love your baby and don't let your emotions between you and your boyfirend affect your attitude with your baby. Be strong for your baby. You will be rewarded in life for being a good mother. Hang tough.

First it is alot of work-but this child chose you because you have things to teach each other. I have 2 and they were a gift-and alot of work. My son is 20 now and leaving in January for the conservation corps-half of me sees the child that I called my rocker because he never slept and drove me crazy and the other half sees a man-its very strange. They never stop being your child. My daughter is 13 and is beautiful-size 3 and a 34c-geez! Long blonde hair-honor roll-all star soccer, and guess what? I'm still Mom-she'll always need me. Don't think your son won't ever need you-he will and you need to rise up to that. I can't tell you the paths to walk but read more than redbook mydear. Go onto webMD and look up things on his illness, you might check into food allergies too. Mine delt with some and my brother had much. He is TOO SMALL for Nyquil!!!!! Try soymilk-in case its a milk allergy-you can buy soy based babys milk-Don't wait on his health. Read to him starting at 1 year-draw with him too and teach him to "play"-many parents don't interact enough at all. Enjoy your gift-it does take time but screw your ex and enjoy what you have. The rest will come-I know!

You didnt help your baby by smoking when you had him or smoking now, quit it !!!!!
It lowers your immune system- get out in the frsh air and push your baby around-feed him the right things and stimulate him with unusual sounds and music and visual things -hang mobiles over his pushchair.
Being a good mother isnt just about baby its a LIFETIME of
teaching even when they get older and leave home they come back again for advice- put everything you have into him/her then they will come back and you will be friends.
Dont put the effort in and be lazy and you will have so many regrets that they dont talk to you etc.

Being a sex kitten isnt much fun now is it ?
Sounds like youve learnt your lesson so good luck xxx

first off, I would say that you're not a bad mother at all, I would say, because you're really trying to help your kid. maybe it's just that you're doing something wrong by accident.

sweetheart, it's OK. being a young mom is difficult, and I would really suggest that you get some extra help from some loving volunteers at a health care center that would give you tons of good advice.

babies do get sick a lot (it's natural), but please do take him to a doctor as soon as you can -- it'll save him and you a lot of misery, and it'll make him happier soon (and make your nights a lot more better)...

you can go to 'ask Dr. Sears' on the internet.
Your son is probably just playing and making faces. I know a 1 year old who makes a face like she's going to say "oh" and she's just playing and learning to use her expressions.
If you watch TV you have heard on the news to NOT give infants cold medicine unless it is prescribed by a doctor. I would never give Nyquil to a 6 month old baby!!! You need to take him to the Dr. so his cold does not become pneumonia.
This is not something you can 'fix', he needs medical care.

you're able to see a doctor. you're seeing issues that at the instant are not rather there. Are you a smoker? i'm apprehensive on your toddler. you're able to call the police or the ambulance and get help real away. Your toddler is in possibility. Sry ur a troll.

Trolls are very good. They give us 2 free points. Thanks! :)
P.S. to the people giving the thumbs down: You actually believe this person is for real? She says her baby has smoker's cough! Wake up a little!
