I just got a PS3 and Madden 2008. I played it for about an hour and was severly dissapointed. I recently sold my PS2 copy thinking the PS3 version would be superior. Boy, was I wrong. I think this may be the worst Madden game I have ever played. Why are the games getting more and more complicated? The programmers are adding so many bells and whistles thinking the game will be better for it when in reality, it totally makes the game crappy and not very fun. The frame rate is awful and very choppy, making playing defense nearly impossible. Does anyone else feel that the PS2 version was/is soooo much better? I think I'm going to sell my PS3 copy of this game and go back to the PS2 version. I am new to the PS3 and really hope that other games in general will not be so poorly designed. I am eagerly awaiting Assassin's Creed. Please don't dissapoint me too.

I've not played the game myself (being from the UK, i'm more interested in soccer), but I know when it was released EA had to admit it had been a bit of a rush job, and not as good as it should've been. (and not as good as the 360 version)
Assassins creed is looking sweet by all accounts.

i've got been enjoying Madden via fact it replace into on great Nintendo in 1993, and that i've got blocked ONE field purpose in the trillions of video games i've got performed...and that i'm notably solid. in case you propose returning a neglected field purpose, a l. a. Antonio Cromartie, no, it won't be able to be accomplished. For some reason the Madden video games do no longer make it easier to run back neglected field objectives (the play is asserted lifeless as quickly via fact the ball hits the floor).

Yeah, the PS3 is very over-rated. I have friends that bought the system, and were disappointed as well. If you wanna upgrade, go get yourself a 360. It's better than PS2.
