First off, if you rip open a "tea bag" you will see the difference. Its ground up and no good! Loose leaf is much better because the leaves can expand and let out much more flavor. Also, there is much less of a chance to get bad stuff in addition to your tea.
Try www.customleaf.com for good loose leaf tea.

I don't know about the healthier part, but I understand loose tea tastes better. I drink Earl Grey in tea bags, but am willing to try loose tea in a tea ball.
I drink it because I enjoy its fragrance and taste. It goes very well with a dash of lemon. I don't sweeten my tea, since I prefer a little tartness.

loose tea is not better for you, after all it's still tea.
loose tea can be stronger and fresher, but it also takes more work to make, like a french press or those spoon things.
i drink chai tea in the morning and oolong tea in the afternoon.
and long island tea in the evening!! i couldn't resist that.
seriously though, for taste - loose tea is the way to go if you can get it, but you can carry a tea bag with you anywhere and make tea anytime you find hot water and a cup.

I am drinking, at the moment, loose leaf Darjeeling tea. I prefer loose leaf to tea bags because I can see the leaf and there are less stems and a cleaner flavour. Bags can have the stems and ugly leaves in them and you won't see it because they are pulverized and in a bag.
I do not know if it is healthier or not.

we just drink bag tea cause it's easier...
loose tea is more interesting though and is quite common at restaurants and such. presentation & service wise, loose is better

I prefer it in a bag. Easier cleanup that way.
