I'm going to guess that you are an alcoholic.
Can you go for weeks with out needing a drink?
Do you need a drink to be social?
Do you need a drink to be calm?
Do you feel the need to have a drink during dinner?
Are you drinking right now?
If you answered Yes to any of the questions, you have a problem and should seek counseling.

I just wanted to apologize for all the *** holes that have responded to your question so far. Not all of us are so insensitive....I just lost my best friend to alcoholism...I understand completely....
I WOULD suggest, however, that you call someone with alcoholics anonymous and get plugged in there. Detox and recovery are your only options....the other is death....and just for the record...live IS worth living....
