I somehow doubt there is a real heaven or hell. I believe there is something after this life but that is my personal belief based on what I feel in my own heart.
The Early Christian church went a long way to scare people into believing ( re Spanish Inquisition). They drew on ideas from older religions about places where the soul went to after death. Many religions have talked of places where the damned souls of evil people are sent post death. Do some studying of these other religions, such as the Old Norse, Greek and Egyptian. These tell stories from even older religions and it seems that there is a common thread about such tales. Where the evidence originally came from is too far lost in time to be worthy of calling Truth. You have to look into your own heart with some quiet contemplation (some call meditation) to find answers to these sort of questions.

Just as a foot note. Ask yourself where you would like to end up if the truth is there is a hell. Lead a good life, be honest, kind and helpful to ALL things living and at least your conscience will be clear throughout this life.

I'm sorry but there is no definite proof, you have to look at the evidence around you (or use your faith) and decide. Some people believe in the whole fire and brimstone hell, some believe that hell is the absence of god, some don't believe in hell at all.

I'm in the last category and if I'm wrong then I am going to hell cause I also don't believe in god :p

But that doesn't mean I do not have morals. You shouldn't live a good moral life just so you don't go to hell. That is a terrible way to live, it is like saying "I won't steal from that person because I was told not to". Why not say "I will not steal from that person because I would not want them stealing from me, and they worked hard to get tat item so to steal from them would set them at a disadvantage". Why not be morally right for the betterment of humanity and the world rather than for the selfish desire of possibly living for eternity in a better place?
You can derive morals from logic.

Martha's way #7: treatment for issues: Take a lime, decrease it in a million/2 and rub it on your brow. The throbbing will flow away. the real women human beings's way #7: Martha, expensive, the only reason this works is because you are able to not rub a lime on your brow devoid of having lime juice on your eye, and then the priority isn't the headache anymore, it rather is because you at the instant are BLIND! LOL!!!! Thx for the laugh!!!

Is there really an answer? No. Why? Because no one can prove it either way. This is a belief people may have, and they may feel strongly about it, but asking this type of question doesn't get you anywhere. Many people will say of course there is a hell, while people like me, will say I don't believe in hell. I see it your way, it was designed to scare people into leaving moral lives. I live a moral life because I want to and care about others, not because of a fear of going to hell. That is how it should be, and I think we are going in that direction (even for those who do believe in Hell). If that makes any sense. It is 3 AM afterall.

i believe in hell i believe in heaven.. to say that nothin happens when we die is to say that nothin happens when we live.. death is after all a part of life so therefore should be logical that it just doesn't.. end.. its not that simple.. as can be proven that all things do.. in essence. die.. however i believe that it isn't just that simple something had to make.. create... think of.. or at least have a part in the world.. and as such would expect some sort of recognition. just like any child that makes a toy house out of lego's wants recognition from everyone.. I believe ther is a god that made everyone. i cannot believe that things happened by chance.. and so i choose.. by my own choice. that he does exist and has mad a place where the people that disbelieve in him are condemned ( you mistake that God must be cruel for it but it is just.... making laws and upholding the consequence is right.. to disobey the consequence is unlawful and therefore unthinkable. the reason he doesn't just "pull people out" of hell is really simple.. he said they would be in hell for eternity. and to deny that for even one person is to admit he has made error and if he has made error then he has lied and thus done the exact same thing the rest of us have done.. so.. dont think he is cruel.._

If you look the meaning of the word hell up all it means is abode of the dead .Well 1 of the meanings are that but if you believe in god how would a god of love send 1 of his creations in to a fiery torment forever ?even if they had been very wicked he would just end there life for ever.I all ways think of it this way if i am not good enough to go to heaven than my condition will be the same as before I was born and we knew nothing then I hope this makes sense and makes you feel better .it gives me comfort as i have been taught in my life that if i don't follow the religion of my parents ( J.W ) i am a very wicked person and wont live forever .They no longer speak to me in there eyes I am worse than a thief or a murder .

yes there is really a hell, and yes there really is a heaven, and yes there is GOD-

By the way, what is so wrong about desiring to live a moral life? However living a moral life is not what will keep you out of hell- it is accepting Christ as payment for your sin. I had to do this too, because all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. And the wages of sin is death, BUT the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Even you cannot truly believe all of this- would'nt you want to make sure?

I believe that people live moral and unmoral lives with or without religion. As far as Hell, I don't think so. I can't imagine torturing my children for eternity as they are still just learning about life. I think to God, we are only babies, compared to his exp and time. Also, being a loving God yet feeling that burning a living thing in fire for all eternity does not go together. I do believe that Hell just means you are dead, not aware and heaven is awareness.
Also, I don't call myself a part of any religion, I just believe there is something more. I think a person that does good from within themselves makes them good, the person fearing hell is a coward and liar, only doing good for a reward or for a fear of punishment (Hell). That is selfishness, it is a lie. It doesn't come from love and respect to God, ourselves or others. Just my oppinion.

In my opinion, hell is just something made up as a scare tactic. There may be a different kind of existance for souls that haven't progressed to a higher plane of being but I truly don't believe that they are being scorched by fire and poked by the devil with a pitchfork.

Go to your bible for the answer.
In Revelation, Hell is termed Hades. [ Greek]
And the Bible says...
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Ha′des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire.

So obviously, Hades is not itself the ' lake of fire'
Some religions have mixed and confused the two.
Crediting 'hell' as the place where things are burned.
Its not what the Bible says.

But hell is closely associated with death.
When deatn is no more, so is hell/ Hades.

So if no one dies , being no death then what else reduces to nothing...

Men's graves.....NO DEATH = NO GRAVES.

So Hell =- men's graves.

This complies with...(Revelation 21:4) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Jesus paid with his life for death to be lifted from us.

It will occur to the righteous after wickedness is done away with...after Armageddon.
