The best way to find the best products for your hair is to try them all. That would be pretty expensive but go over to a friends house and use some of her stuff. See how it works, and just keep trying new things. Hair may work with products from this company and not that company....it's all trial and error.
If I can suggest something, I would suggest you try a hot oil treatment....for a cheaper way to have great soft and silky hair with less frizzies, warm up some olive oil (regular cooking stuff) in the microwave and massage it into your hair while it is dry. Wrap it up in a warm towel from the drier and sit for an hour or so. Maybe give yourself a facial at the same time. Then get in the shower, and shampoo out all the oil (because water won't get the oil out--oil and water don't mix) and then condition your hair. Viola! Beautiful silky hair.
The most key thing to protecting your locks is to stay away from all heat. Yep, that means no hairdrier, no straightner, no curling iron either....It's very hard not to advert to these products but just try it for a week. Don't blow dry your hair for a week....try it. I know it's hard not to but if you stay away from things with heat such as blow driers, curling irons, straightners, etc....you will notice a HUGE change in the feel and look of your hair. It will be so much more healthy.

naturally oilly hair or lots of conditioner, if you weren't blessed/cursed with oily hair. People have always complimented my hair, natural or dyed, bc it's very shiny. Shiny hair is very complimenting to hair color apparently! If you have oily hair its a curse, but daily gentle washing does the trick, if you don't have oily hair, try hot oil or good conditioner. All the extra stuff takes out moisture, hair stray, hair dryer, flat iron, or curling iron, so be choosy on what you use. Good luck on getting amazing hair!

wash it everyday, avoid getting rebond/relax treatments in the salon, treat ur hair to a hot-oil at least once a month, use conditioner every other day, shampoo everyday.
in case u want to get rebond/relax treatments, consult a hair expert first. go to a salon that treats people's hair very well, otherwise u would end up having a worse hair texture.
some people's hair get 'tired' using only one specific brand of shampoo. so u should try alternating two brands of shampoo every two days so ur hair won't 'tire' of one brand.
lastly, always brush/comb your hair. but never use a brush/comb that's too 'harsh' or u might end up having split ends.
oh, and before i forget, trim your hair at least once a month, so that ur hair would have volume and that it wouldn't get too dry.
=)

Allow a day or two between washings.
Use inexpensive shampoo, no conditioners.
Be sparing with curling irons and hair dryers
Help to hold its "lay" with a light mist of hairspray.

i have straight, but unfrizzy hair. and to have it soft and volumized, i use a bit of V05 anti-frizz hair creme on wet hair, then blow dry it upside down. it gets really volumized and looks really good.
