Outdated sex-crime laws leave military women at risk
Those reports underscore the Defense Department's own evidence of the mistreatment of women. According to its latest released figures from a 1995 survey of thousands of military women, 52% said they had been sexually harassed, with 6% reporting actual or attempted assault. The depth of the problem was dramatized in 1996, when a dozen Army instructors at Aberdeen, Md., were charged with committing sexual crimes against female trainees.

WAS NOT CRUSIFIED

You didn't quite finish. ".... and a sign will not be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah".
Three "yom" in the belly of the deep. Three "yom" in the tomb. By the time Christ-ianity became a sobering fact in the known world, that generation was gone. Rome still ruled, the Sanhedrin still played both ends against the middle, and no sign was given until the Gospel was compiled and disbursed, some ninety years later.
Now.... what's with the unenlightening nonrevelation about women comprising the bulk of the victims of physical violence and harassment? Did that get in there by mistake, or is there a question there?

You did not quote the entire text. Jesus was specifying that no sign will be given the evil and adulterous nation except the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was in the belly of a whale three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. That prophesy came true when Jesus died. He descended into hell to set those in captivity free. Back in the old testament days before Jesus gave his life on the cross, paradise and hell were situated close to each other. He descended into the heart of the earth and led those from paradise up and into heaven. He spent three days and three nights there.
I don't know what relevance you got from domestic violence crimes and this passage. Interesting stats though.

Wrong. The passage you are citing makes it clear that "A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign'' and that ''there shall no sign be given unto it''. It doesn't have anything whatever to do with the other material you have posted in your answer.

It's a worry if you don't know your own scriptural texts particulary well!

didn't you read all of mathew 16? jesus was asked for a sign. since he couldn't provide one, he basically refused and then talked in circles until the matter was forgotten.

it was never a prophesy. he was talking about the men of that time.

EDIT

i just realized the irony in this question.

you are trying to say that these crimes are a sign that prove that "no sign will be given."

do you see the paradox? you, sir, are a true christian.

keep in mind Matthew was written around two thousand years ago and the figures you quote being current don't even come close to the times that Matthew referred to.
this taken into consideration good luck in finding an even playing field for all concerned.
