Ok. This is an easy question. Marijuana and Cocain, come from all over the world, BUT some of the best and strongest come from the middle east. Besides Marijuana is noit a DRUG!!!! It is classified as an herb along side Aloe Vera, and other types of plants that have medicinal qualities. The governments of the world are just pissed that they cant tax it and make money off of it. Im pretty sure that even Jesus had "herbal" tea in his day. For an upset stomach and stuff. It doesnt always need to be smoked.

medically supervised use of drugs is legal and some religions claim one should obey the law . But the use of proscribed drugs without medical approval is often harmful and not legal as a rule . These drugs are not medicinals unless used under the auspices of medical advice .
the medical use of drugs is usually a far cry from the abuse of of drugs for non medicinal purposes. They don't do the same thing either ...,I've never heard of a a coke head using cocaine as a local anesthesia for eye surgery, have you?

most medicines do not cure the cause, only mask the symptoms of illness or injury. in these cases, it is not really medicine, but quackery in eucharist or pill-form.

this is the same with marijuana or cocaine. they do not cure illness or mental angst. they only temporarally mask a problem. since the effect is only temporary, you have really only added another problem to your already existing ones.

that's dependancy. if you want to have issues with dependancy, why not just become a christian? at least you won't end up in jail. your brain will still be mush but at least you'll think you're happy.

Just because something is illegal doesn't make it a sin. Jesus himself was anointed with about 9 pounds of marijuana flowers in oil before he was baptized. All the prophets were before they prophesied. The baptism was to wash off the hallucinogenic marijuana oil. Marijuana and other illegal drugs were only illegal recently. Did Jesus sin because he was anointed with marijuana oil? Then we don't either. You must separate the laws of the land from the laws of the bible.

If it is altering the mind, WE should be living Gods will, God used drunkeness alot in the Bible, Wars were won when the others were drunk and had the sun in thier eyes, drunkeness(or drugs) will not get you into heaven, God can have no part of sin, God is Holy, its easy to see these other things have satans tools all over them, does satan ever know our weaknesses and use them, Alcohol or addiction is creating false idols, when we care more about something other than God we are worshipping it, that is a sin, No other Gods before Me, is a commandment, put it down, and go find the true gift God has given you, you don't need it, Satan will use it to keep you from that gift, to drag you down exactly where he knows is already his fait, you do not have to serve that same fait, and you can ask Jesus christ to help you beat this, beat satan, Jesus already has, and knows we cannot do it alone, I am and alcoholic, who don't drink, I did again and again until God physically let me go, and satan got his claws into me, I prayed for God to come to me and help, this didn't happen once or twice but 3 times, and this time God showed me what really was going to happen if I did not stop, I see now, and I know I don't want no part of that, not worth spending eternity in hell.
We have love in Christ who went to the cross for our sins to be forgiven and you can ask Jesus into your life now, and don't say tomorrow, that is the word satan likes, because tomorrow will become tomorrow to tommorrow, to too late.

Why should anything a person could do that does not cause harm to the person or property of a non-consenting other be a sin OR a crime? That's just ridiculous. Then again, there are many things in life that should be and are not...

The way you think doesn't stop to amaze me! Marijuana and cocaine are sin and illegal because the law says so, so I don't really think they are bad at all.

Sirach 38:1-4
Honor physicians for their services, for the Lord created them,
for their gift of healing comes from the most hight, and they are rewarded by the King.
.....
The lord created medicines out of the earth and the sensible will not despise them.
but not drugs because Jesus refuse to take it in the cross.
