'Fair', in this world, should describe that which fulfills the rights of everyone and every thing..
so, 'not fair' would describe whatever violates any of these rights..
it's not so simple though.. when it comes down to deciding what those rights should be and who gets them, that's when things get messy..
because there will always be dissent..
not even 'majority rule' or 'vote' is always the best solution to this, because.. what do you do when the majority makes an unfair judgment?
perhaps this implies that mankind does need to be governed.. with laws passed down from one source..
where does fairness come from? well, the sense of what a person believes he deserves seems to be inherent, and for the most part, so is the sense of compassion. So, the need to practice fairness, to oneself and to others, in order to maintain a healthy status quo in society probably has its roots in our instincts..

God is just. His righteousness is the scale for all human behavior to be measured against. He gave us a conscience, His boundaries for us, rewards and consequences for both.
Then when the fulness of time had come, He gave us His Son Jesus through which His sacrifice, when applied to our hearts in faith, makes us clean and free from sin and now we can be in God's presence and He only sees the blood of Jesus Christ. That's not just fair, it's unmerited favor and that makes it grace. Was it fair that Jesus took our place? It was the will of God. When someone is treated with less than the love, grace and mercy of God, it may not be fair but the reward of a Christian who suffers persecution for the cause of Christ will be worth it all one day.

Fair in line with islamic teaching means putiing or doing something on the right place or in the right way.It should be set the criteria for the right place or the right way..If its realization is the same with the criteria it is callad fair. This criteria can be determined by a group of professionals or by the governent or by the God in line with the holy book.
It will come from the society itself and it should be measured by the independent party.

Life is not fair. Life wasn't meant to be fair. If it rains on one it rains on all. No one has their personal little cloud following them around raining on them. And, that's fair.
