Well, when one religion replaces another the replaced one becomes mythology, and the new one becomes accepted as fact. The only real problem with that is there is very little fact in religion, but a whole lot of faith, which is defined as belief with out proof. I do wonder what kind of religion will replace Islam and Christianity in the future. I do how ever think that there will always be some kind of belief in a higher power.

I do think it's a series of myths now.
But I think in about 1000 years or less Christianity, Islam and Judiasm will be seen as mythology which most of the world believed.
I think most people can't accept the fact that their life is meaningless, so there'll always be religion. Perhaps it will less based on God, Heaven, Hell and sinners and more about the power of the Earth and Sun giving us life, and how when we die we give back to them, and while we are alive it is our duty to respect them.
I hope we will have a religion that looks after the earth rather than one that exploits it.

I think all the religions will fade away to the realization that they are stories and myths meant to explain the true spiritual nature of our reality. This will happen as science begins to explain who and what God is and an understanding will ensue. They will look to us and our beliefs in God as we look to past humans and their belief in a flat world. This isn't to say that they won't believe in God, they will only have a more realistic understanding for who and what "It" is.

Probably. (Well, hopefully.) As science advances there will be no more need for a God. Evidence of evolution will be much less debatable, we may (I know it's quite a stretch) to explain exactly what happens when we die, etc. (Although, there will still be doubters, religion is a powerful delusion. However, they will be a great deal less.)

Well, that's my hopeful prediction.

As we move into the Oneness, we are called to let go of religion's and individual dogma's. It is time to move into the new paradigm: that of being one spiritually....one family....one earth. The separation of peoples into religions is a thing of the past. When enough of us realise this, then the shift into oneness can occur. Many have already embraced oneness and know that the future is this. In the future....after 2012.....the new paradigm will be more evident. Religion as you know it will become no more.....it may well be myth's of the past. Just a series of forgotten stories. The new is moving in...the old is already a thing of the past for me and many like me. Open up, and speak your truth....don't be a follower...be a creator. You are God. God is not a religion. God is you. we are God. Our essence is God's essence. God does not want religion. God did not create religion. Man created religion and man must leave it behind and advance into the new age of love. Love is the answer. Fear is the oposite of love. if people begin to protect their so-called-love by use of hatred, dogma, forced religion, then you will know they are operating from absolute fear, not absolute love. Know that love is the only real, and encompasses all beings in its love. God is of the Oneness. Truth shall be revealed....love is the choice.

You don't have to go into the future to 'believe' this, it is true. Religion, all religion is a man made myth and just a series of anecdotal fables ---so yes.

Yeah we seen what happened to what they thought were Gods, God is the only God, thier sideshows couldn't do anything, God is The Father. And when we all stand before judgement some will stand in shock, we should be prepared, that is what Jesus Christ told us to be prepared, it is in black and white, we know not the hour or the day, but be prepared, I do Pray for these people on here, it is so sad, how they crack jokes and do not understand, God is trying to reach them, but they close themselves up, and turn away from God.

in the future we will be worshiping new gods. people will be strapping bombs onto their chests, and it won't be for allah, it will be for some entirely different entity. we may even go back to human sacrifices, that would be great. instead of electing presidents we could just sacrifice presidents to the gods.
