Islam is the real true message God gave to humanity from beginning. This is the same message God ggave to Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and finally to Mohammed.

As said Islam was the first religion.

The reason is because Islam is an Arabic word meaning "The submission to almighty God" The Qur'an states that that is the system given to all of His creations, but that humans will have a choice to follow it or not. Hence the test of life. Whereas the moon, sun, plants, and animals just follow the Islam (instinct) they were created with.

The names Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism etc.. were made up by man as a reference word to their religion which is associated to the person or place they recieved it. Islam as was taught by Muhammad was the last messaeg which God promised to keep pure from corruption thus the offical name stuck and Muhammadism or Arabism never were even thought by Muslims as names for "the submission to God" which is Islam in Arabic.

Hopefully it was a clear answer

not sure what you mean by 'definite religion'..

to answer this you might need to look at some different details..

in the history of the quran, the very first human being, Adam, was a muslim messenger. Since the word 'Islam', as well as its practice, means to submit oneself to the Will of the one God, Adam, having been taught how to practice this principle, was essentially a muslim..

so, according to the quran, islam is viewed as the first religion in the history of mankind.. although it most probably was not called by that name until the time of the last of the muslim prophets, Muhammed.

Salam...

Yes it was.. but i guess it was not literally the Islam that came with prophet Mohammad (PBUH)....

The idea of the " Only God" and that all the creatures are his slaves which is the soul of Islam ... this idea was the message of all the prophets who came before prophet Mohammad (PBUH) ....

In Qura'an it is mentioned that God has Accepted Islam as the Final religion after he completed it by Qura'an and Sunnah...

well, about the other religions...
it's known that Judaism came first then Christianity and the final religion is Islam of course ... but as i told you ..there are no conflicts in the original religions...

what makes me very confident that Islam is the final accepted religion is that God himself promised to protect it ... so Qura'an will not be distorted like the other Holy Books...

if there are any other questions ... please don't hesitate to ask..
and if you want me to explain more... I'm ready...

Assalam Alaikom..." peace on you" :)

Islam is a pretty recent religion, being founded in 622 CE.

Religions started out with no real definitions of God (such as animism and ancestor worship), evolving to fertility cults based on polytheism, followed by monotheism. In the grand scheme of religious history, monotheism itself is quite recent.

It was one of the first major religions, but there were many local religions (mainly polytheistic) before Islam came about (in approximately 600 CE)

No. Islam is relatively recent.

Animistic religions were the earliest. Monotheistic religions developed later. Among them Judaism was first, then Christianity, and then Islam.

Islam was Invented By Mohammad, and the Quran borrowed its verses from the Bible, Torah.
Nisa *** says the Quran is Pure. Consider this Purity.
Note the many interesting parallels between immediate local circumstances and the contents of certain suras. Muhammad’s uncle and aunt were most skeptical of Muhammad’s claim to be the prophet of Allah. Sura 111 is devoted to pronouncing a curse on them. As Islam grew in strength and engaged in wars for booty or conquest we find suras such as Nos. 2, 3, 8, etc., containing admonition to engage in war, rebuke for those failing to do so, and explanations for the outcome of certain battles.
An unpleasant rumor involved Muhammad’s favorite wife, Ayesha, in an affair with a young Muslim warrior. Sura 24 deals with this incident and condemns the scandalmongers. Muhammad was perplexed about marrying the divorced wife of his adopted son Zaid. Sura 33 grants him an exception so that he can marry her even though among the Arabs an adopted son was considered the same as one’s natural son and the Quran had forbidden the wife of one ever to become the wife of another. In another instance one of Muhammad’s wives had discovered him in her apartment with his Coptic concubine. This caused such a furor among his wives that Muhammad voluntarily denied himself having any relations with this concubine. Sura 66 assures him that he need not consider the objections of his wives in regard to his relations with the dusky Coptic concubine.
Enough Said.

Islam was the first religion to form. Since there is only only God, there is only one religion. But the religious scriptures were adulterated over ages and the final revelation of Islam is through Prophet Muhammed.

No it's quite recent. Only about 1400 years. There were hundreds of religions before then. Mohammed just picked up bits from some of them
