Ultimately, perfection is a state of being. "To err is human", so to be perfectly human, one must err. A perfect painting of a human looks just like a human depicted in paint. If the universe is a unique expression of divine art, even including the endless eccentricities, then it is inherently perfect, and therefore the Creator has already achieved Perfection. So in this way, what you as is true. There is a progression from Perfect to Perfect even as we do the strange things we do on this planet.

God was always perfect already. It is WE as HUMANS who are progressing towards the perfection of God, yet always 666 (humankind), never 777, for we are always one less than God, for He is our Creator, we are manifest, and He is unmanifest.
