She got her tiny claw stuck in between the metal slider I put on the cage that locks in the fun tubes on the side of the cage. Her tiny claw could have been stuck there for god knows how long and she was trying to bite her hand off or bite it out. I gently poked her hand free but her claw was pulled out of her hand and I think she started to bleed a little bit. Will she be okay? What should I do? She is also very old (over 2 yrs) and has possible tumors on her butt. I feel so bad for her!! Help!!! She kept on licking her hand to clean it and walked slightly with a limp!

You can put some antibiotic ointment like Neosporine on it so it doesn't get infected. Other than that, there isn't much that can be done. As long as she's not losing a lot of blood, she should be ok. It it was broken, she might always limp a bit.

As long as it is not broken, she should be fine. Do not use any type of antibiotic ointment on it. Hamsters will lick themsleves to clean themselves, and she will ingest the ointment. Keep her cage clean, be sure she has plenty of food and water, and she should be ok. At 2 years, she is reaching the end of her lifespan, unfortunately. Three years is about the maximum for most hamsters, and a lot do not make it that far. She's lucky to have you to take good care of her!

Do NOT put antibiotic ointment on it - it's toxic to rodents, and because she's licking her paw she's more than likely to ingest it.

As long as she's able to heal, she'll probably be okay. You'll want to keep an eye out for any signs of infection (loss of appetite, lethargy, redness/swelling, pus, etc.). Make sure she's eating and drinking as per usual, and hopefully she'll heal up just fine! If not, you could take her to a vet with exotics experience, or you could make her as comfortable as possible to ride it out.

Did you get the hamster out?? in simple terms positioned on some gloves, carry her physique in one hand, and bend the cage bars with the different. they could bend quite and he or she could have the skill to get good out. If she is bleeding lots take her to a small animal vet asap, a great style of blood loss can effect in dying.

It can lead to infection if you do nothing. Bring it to the vet fast to get it checked out

If the bleeding was only a little bit, she should be okay.
