I use Goldbond anti-itch cream. It works best for me. I have a pretty severe reaction to mosquito bites.

Aside from using stuff like Benadryl, a friend of mine told me to use the antibacterial gels on my bug bites. I tried this method and it works! It's only temporary though. The alcohol in the gel somehow kills the itch for little while.
Of course, you could always use bug repellant before heading out, to avoid getting bit altogether.

You can buy a cream that will help with the itch. You can also put rubbing alcohol on it (it will burn) but it will take away the sensation of itching!

I always use toothpate, not the gel but the paste. Also initially, putting ice on it will lessen itching...other things Benedryl spray, Calamine lotion.
Worst thing is to scratch it, it can get infected.

There are several things that work well: Aloe vera gel, over the counter, hydro-cortisone creams, and Band-Aid, anti-itch gel.

Use any cream or lotion that ends in "caine" such as benzocaine, lydocaine, etc. Many are available over the counter. Ask a pharmacist, they'll be glad to help you.

try ice - lotions to stop itch don't last long enough. you can also ask your dermatologist if it would be alright to prescribe EMLA, a local anesthesia (lotion type) for you. it will stop the itching for a longer time than if you used 'itch' lotions. ice though is best, and cheapest!
