I met this girl in class and I really like her, we talked a lot in class and she always looks at me eye to eye when i'm talking. She also laughs a lot at the things I say even though they aren't funny. We have hung out several times of which all were a dinner + movie type thing. After a movie (usually ends at around 9pm) we would walk over to a close by starbucks to have a drink and chat till around midnight. There were never any awkward silent moments during the time we hung out and we both always had A LOT to talk about.
So i've also noticed that I have always been the one starting conversations (on IM like msn) so I decided that I would not message her and see if she would ever message me first. But so far I have not gotten a message from her yet! and it's been around 3 days since we last talked on msn. Is she just not interested or does she want me to always start the conversation? I don't wanna sound too needy too.. Do you think it was a bad idea not to message her??

wow............dont even sweat boyy! i doubt ive EVER started the conversation on msn even with the guys ive been totally twisted over! i just like the guy to start things with me. it sounds like she's totally vibbin it with you but she just likes to be reminded that your feelin it by you starting the msn/aim convos. you prob dont sound needy at all but if you stop talking to her, im sure she'll get totally the wrong idea. so keep spittin IM's at her and im sure everything will work out. good luck

when you do have a convo: who ends it? her or you? do you feel like the convos naturally end or does she prematurely cut it off in the middle?
i have been in a similar situation but the person was just an introvert and pretty shy. it was pretty hard to figure out so i stopped reading into it too much. ienjoyed talking to him but had to deal with it if he never initiated it.
maybe you can ask her in a funny, nice way one day: "hey, im not annoying you when i always contact you, right?" cause if she really doesnt want to talk to u that is her problem if she cant tell you. it's not fair to you. you're not a mind reader

Perhaps she feels more comfortable in person. Instant messaging is extremely impersonal.
