All Chrysler,Dodge and Plymouth cars from the late sixtys to present including Imperials are unibody.

The Dodge Diplomat is a unibody. But, the front suspension and engine mounts (as I remember) are part of a subframe known as the "K member." The K member (so named due to its shape) is bolted to the unibody. Large rubber isolators at the attachment points were designed to provide some cushioning. So, I would get the entire K member if you go to a junk yard - they probably know all about the above.

You know, I had two, and I did lots of maintenance on them, and I find myself having a hard time answering. I believe they were subframed.
In the front, they had a heavy frame with double wishbone suspension and torsion bars all self-contained. I'm just not sure about the back. I think the back was unibody.

brother has an 84 its a unibody car, it has a 318 and is rear wheel drive
