I am an atheist. I don't know how this world was formed. I don't know what happens when we die. I don't know how this world will end. Are you, as a Christian, grown up enough to accept that your belief (which you are entitled to) is nothing more than a belief and not absolute truth?

How am I agnostic? I reject the idea of a higher being. I just don't know how it started. The big bang is the only reasonable theory but I don't claim it to be the truth without proof.

I should have known this would go no where. Maybe you Christians shouldn't call it "faith" and "belief" anymore, then.

for them to admit that they don't know is, in their minds, way too risky. They think they are endangering their mortal souls by even considering the possibility that their religion may perhaps be even the tiniest bit not quite right.
poor things, so brain washed as they are. Who knows? Without religion, many of them might have grown up to be perfectly normal people.

Okay Arnon says forget semantics and he is right.
Everyone in their minds have some concept of what absolute perfection is. And that includes truth. That is not above the imagination of man.
The question is, is that a real state of being or existence or not?
The God of Christianity that I believe in says that is what God is. The truth that I get about God is in the Bible. What other book do you think of that I can learn the truth about what kind of being God is like? Also the book first came to us in Jewish tradition for three or four thousand of years unchanged. Then when Jesus Christ came to fulfill the Jewish tradition by word and deed and brought man closer to God. That tradition has been with us for the past 2,000 years in the Christian religion unchanged. The Bible has a message that goes back 6,000 years. of man's history. And where the events took place thousands of years ago that is the Middle East today. Their descendants are Muslims and Jews.
The Bible then is not a fairy tale to my mind. It is the absolute truth about God.

can human beings end stereotyping Christians as hating LGBT? makes you not greater ideal than those that stereotype LGBT as flamboyant gay human beings. it makes me unhappy via fact Im catholic. =[ Why cant we cheer for the two communities. it variety of feels being LGBT potential %. one area or the different. btw...I asked R&S in the event that they enjoyed us and maximum folk say they did. Get to renowned them previously you criticize. The Christians comprehend you're ok. Its the conservatives that stand out via fact they are so tense. however the conservatives are not maximum folk. Unfortunatley, they are those that stand out. There are gay Christians btw. pass LGBT. pass Christians. Boo Conservatives. i won't become atheist and proclaim God isn't genuine purely via fact of a few ignorant conservatives that shop on with the Bible to the final observe. Thats via fact God is genuine and as religious as i'm, the Bible isn't adjusted to out cases and should no longer be interpreted in the variety of straitlaced way. Its impressive how one component a conservative says could impression somebody as to assert "there would desire to be no God." EDIT** lol...pretend Christians. I see. properly..karma will take place. dont complication. it continuously does.

It's funny to see people write that they believe christianity is the truth.
Do you know how many religions there are in this world? And you think that yours is right? What proof do you have?
NONE
why? because religion is MAN MADE. Don;t get me wrong, I'm religious, in fact I'm Muslim but here's the thing, we accept all religions and never believe that ours is superior.

i come from a non-christian background. did alot of research on all major relgions. conclusion - by using science, history, and common sense - the bible is true.
also when praying, Jesus helps alot.
dont believe me? Just try it for a few months, and you'll see the difference. Read the bible, and try praying privately. Whatever your results, publish them.
All the best

On the contrary. God is absolute truth. I do know how the world got here. I do know where we came from. I do know why we are here. I do know where we are going. I do know how to get there. The day is coming when you will also know the absolute truth. I wouldn't want to be you on that day. For on that day you will have no excuse.

I didn't grow up Christian. I grew up atheist. I do know the truth, because I know Jesus who said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by me." (John 14:6)

“The son-ship of Jesus Christ is the greatest fiction of human history.” (Lord Bishop of Canterbury Commission, the Spiritual Head of England, 1910.)
“The son-ship of Jesus Christ, the Trinity, the blood sacrifice of the lamb of God, atonement are not the teachings of Jesus. These are all inventions of Saint Paul who never really met Jesus.” (Hastings Rashdall, The Theory of Good and Evil)
“There is strong reason to believe that St. Paul fabricated the belief system of Christianity from Zoroastrian mythology. In order to hide Paul’s plaigerism… Christians burned the library of Alexandria in 390 A.D. Books in that library kept Mithra’s original story of what Pauline Doctrine is an almost exact copy. (George Sarton , Introduction to History of Sciences) ,
"Christianity...[has become] the most perverted system that ever shone on man....Rogueries, absurdities and untruths were perpetrated upon the teachings of Jesus by a large band of dupes and imposters led by Paul, the first great corrupter of the teaching of Jesus." --- Thomas Jefferson
"Initially there were 34 gospels that were compiled by word of mouth. Four were chosen for unclear reasons and 30 were left behind [burned]. (Encyclopedia Britannica)
The Christian community continues to exist because the conclusions of the critical study of the Bible are largely withheld from them. --Hans Conzelmann
