One that can drop in a 3rd gen 3sgte engine on my 91 mr2 turbo (the engine I currently have has almost 200,000 miles on it and has to many problems that I think would be cheaper to "upgrade" to a 3rd gen engine). Oh and one more question. I read to on mr2 club forms that one shouldnt spend more than 5 grand on the engine+service+labor. Is this correct?

being from the IE i would put in a call to TOYOTECH in Riverside/Corona area. all they do are Toyotas. the problem with getting your information from user boards is most (99%) dont know the smog laws for CA. if you are going to upgrade here in the republic of california you must know what is going to be legal and pass smog. i dont mean to sound like a jack-booted thug but all it takes now is to be pulled over by chp for something else and they start looking and the next thing you know your car is being impounded. i am speaking from experience.
