Prozac changed my life from a never-ending hell to a tolerable reality; it was the best thing in my life. I've been taking the maximum dose for a human every day for the last thirteen years. I have been lucky. Some people must be carefully monitored for months until their doctor finds a proper medication and a proper dosage. It is worth it.

been taking Cymbalta since December, and I've been feeling a lot better and have had a more positive outlook on life. Before then, I hit rock bottom with the depression for the most part and I had no desire to do anything; didn't want to work, didn't want to go outside or be around people, just wanted to sleep 24/7, had no motivation for anything.

And I've taken Zoloft for a couple of years in the past too and that helped for a while, (until someone I knew was killed in a car accident, then the Zoloft only made me feel like I was a zombie, I couldn't think for myself and that sort of thing).

I've been on SSRI's for 14 years.

I don't really remember what my life was like before them, except that I was miserable and did not want to live any more.

I know that SSRIs saved my life and with out them I probably would not be writing this.

I take sertraline (generic zoloft) for my headaches every day and it has really helped with that. I used to suffer from daily headaches and now I get one like every other day, which makes a pretty big difference to me, but we're still working on a better dosage.

I've been taking them since about March and it's now November, so about 7 months. I would say that I'm slightly more upbeat since I started taking them, but I never really had depression that needed to be medicated.

I would suggest taking them if you need them for depression or whatever. Good Luck!
