Let me go get my violin and I can play background music for your sob story.
They're illegal. They're not supposed to be here. That's why they're called illegals.

I-L-L-E-G-A-L-S that is the reason. Where did they get the SS# that they are using to work? We support attrition through enforcement and Oklahoma's new laws prove that it can be done by all of our states and then maybe the illegals willl go home and fix their own problems instead of causing new ones here. No one in good conscience can say that the illegals are helping our nation's economy in any way. They aren't. When every able bodied American has a job, then we can think of helping others, not until and especially not by allowing illegals every opportunity that legal immigrants and American citizens don't have.

I see you rpoint somewhat.
But that coold hard truth is, ILLEGALS ARE CRIMINALS JUST FOR BEING IN THIS COUNTRY.
And by providing them with jobs and money only encourages them to stay.
What we really need to do is cut off everything unless you are an AMERICAN CITIZEN.
Illegals don't pay income tax, so they don't support this country. Then, they send the money they earnd ILLEGALLY back to their home country instead of spending it in their community to support the economy. They pay no medical, which is bankrupting hospitals ER's and State funded medical programs. They collect welfare as well, WHILE they are WORKING ILLEGALLY, so they are making more money, that they send home and don't pay taxes on.
If American shuts off the fountian of money to the Illegals then they will have no reason to be here and they will INVADE some other country.
Illegals don't pay anything in to the system and they turn around and suck it dry by getting food stamps, medical, housing etc. And it is also a proven fact that when Illegals move in to a neighborhoods in groves that property values go down, lees taxes the owners have to pay which statrs another cause and effect.
Illegals have no respect for our laws, our language, our Flag or our country. They Invade the US and try to turn it in to the country they left. They fly their home countries falg above the American Flag, or don't even fly the American Flag at all.
When my great grand parents Immigrated here LEGALLY they came through Ellis Island in New York. They learned English. They got jobs, paid taxes, voted, assimilated to our country and becamse productive members of AMERICA. They were proud to be here, they flew the American flag high and proud! And they supported this country.
Illegals do none of that. They protest in the streets, fly their home countries flag and burn ours! They demand handouts form the government, they REFUSE to learn English, they pay no taxes other than sales tax, they contribute NOTING to this country, they just take take take. And they do not support America, they degrade it and it's people.
So, yes, stopping ILELGAL INVADERS form having jobs in this country is a good thing because if they can't support themselves and the Government stops supporting them then they will have no reason to be here.

As the child of an illegal immigrant, and once one myself. Let me remind some of you that we are people to! Unless you have been through the system and witnessed how families can be destroyed and children can be punished for the sins of their parents I suggest you save the righteous bullsh!t. This country has been built by immigrants people doing the jobs that some of us would not dare do. I think there should be a consistant system set up to help those that are already here.
Oh and one more thing imabacils some of us actually came here under amnesties or visas we do get SOCIAL SECURITY #'s and then those amnesties and systems are no longer honoured and we become illegal. I came under a student visa when I graduated from highschool it was revoked because of SEPT 11th and I had to throw myself at the mercy of a heartless courtsystem who still wanted to deny me even though everything was done correctly. Thank God for good lawyers.

Uhhh, because they are illegal. Ask yourself a simple question, how can you pay/file a tax return without a social security card, also many if not most are paid under the table, ie., not taxed. If you take away the reason for coming here, jobs, handouts, etc, they will stop coming. It is simple, it isn't rocket science.

Yes, but I see alot of problems with it. If we make it difficult for them to work, some of them would resort to crime. SOmeone got mad at me on saying this, but heck this should be an open forum. One of the reason MS13 was formed, was that illegal El Salvadoreans couldn't find jobs becvause they lack documentation. THey resorted to crime to make a living. This type of thinking exist in Shanty towns. People move into large metropolitan cities looking for jobs. These cities run out of jobs, but the people still come, because they hope another factory may open. THey sit and wait in shanty towns. TO stay alive, they began committing crime rather than leave these cities. Most of the reason they are like this, is that there home town lack hope of opportunities.
AS if it's a good idea, it's a so so idea. Basically it is to thin the herd, so we can find the worse offenders latter. It's doing things backwards, but it would help get rid of the more abusive illegal immigrants in the long run.

Ummm.... I want to work in Japan. Why won't they let me? I think I can make some money there... I am going to sneak into Japan whether the Japanese like it or not. Now I have a job in Japan and the government is after me... I don't understand why. I pay so much money into their economy. Sure, they never asked me to live there, but I am good for Japan.
Hmmm....does this illegal alien in Japan sound kinda crazy? Anyone?
Now let's try...
I want to live in Bob's house. Why won't he let me? I think I can be happy there... I am going to sneak into Bob's house whether Bob likes it or not. Now I live in Bob's basement and Bob is accusing me of being a trespasser! I don't understand why. I pay my share of Bob's utility bill...Sure, Bob never asked me to live in his house, but I am good for Bob..
You illegal aliens make me want to scream because you are so damn thick. I don't know if you are playing dumb or if you are really this stupid.

I can tell you don't get the legality issue at all, do you?
Slice it, dice it, or any other way you want to, that is what this is all about my dear. Legal immigrants have every right to be here and illegal immigrants have no right to be here no matter what you have been told and believe.

It should be difficult if not impossible for illegals not only to find work in this country but STAY here illegally. The key word in your question is ILLEGAL. They are breaking the law just by being here without the proper paperwork.
There should be crackdowns on housing and other services they are currently receiving in this country. If proper ID was required everywhere, hopefully they would get the message that the free ride is over.
You are right it will be very hard to go backwards from where we are now. We have let it go on too much too long. But at some point we have to try and get a handle on it. What would you suggest instead? Blanket amnesty?
Because of the economic drain on this country and because of homeland security concerns, we have to do something.

Again you address an important issue, Most of these working undocumented have Social Security, Medicare, Federal and State taxes deducted from their checks.
They pay their way in this country
In today's Yahoo News There is an Article by Pat Buchanan
"Sinking Currency, Sinking Country".
Who States." The dollar is plunging because America has been living beyond her means, borrowing $2 billion a day from foreign nations to maintain her standard of living and sustain the American Imperium."
http://news.yahoo.com/s/uc/20071102/cm
Americans may soon be doing those jobs , for what it currently pays, Whether they like it or not.
And that person with a degree, should qualify him for a garbage collectors job. He speak like he is the only person
who has an education in this country!
