okay, okay... cold sore is technically herpes, but it's a DIFFERENT VARIATION of herpes , so it's not like... the sexually transmitted kind that you hear about in all those commercials. so, stop freaking out people. a LOT of people get cold sores (9 out of 10 have the virus in them). once you get one once, the virus is in your body for life, and you'll get them peridoically when you are stressed out or something.

do you get one EVERY SINGLE TIME you kiss him? cuz, i don't know what kind of relationship you have with this person, but wouldn't you have a cold sore 24/7? just don't kiss him when HE has one, and you should be fine... use abreva or something, take some L-lysine vitamins...

I don't know, if you're worried about him having an STD or something, have him go to the doctor and get tested.

He's probably not someone you should be kissing anymore. Tell him to use some carmex or something on a regular basis if you must kiss him and don't kiss him when he has a cold sore. You might be allergic to something from him?

it means you should stop kissing him, let him know what's going on and get it taken care of... cold sores are a form of herpes (believe it or not) it's nothing too serious but they are contageous. did he have a cold sore by any chance when you kissed him? in the mean time get some of that chapstick that gets rid of them quickly. i think blistex makes something that should help you out

um it means he has herpes of the mouth so he needs to take valtrex...but u obviously contracted herpes from him so u shud actually take valtrex as well. this happened with me last week. i had a cold sore and my bf wudnt kiss me because hes never gotten them and he doesnt want to start. just get a prescription for valtrex and it will clear up your cold sores, and have him do the same. good luck!

Your allergic to him. I had dated a guy like that to. Your body chemistry don't mix well together. And I don't mean physical. It can happen with sharing makeup and things as well with someone. It's herpes of the mouth and not likely contagious.I have always had that problem and know one every got it from me. so it's most likely always been in you and now his chemistry and yours are triggering it but talk to a doctor if you like. There are remedies for it. By the way abreva made mine worse so be cautious that everyones different.
