I wouldn't rely on just a CT scan to say if a mass was benign or not. Although a very experienced oncologist would have a pretty good idea based on size location and possibly any blood tests that may be performed. To be 100% though, a biobsy would be in order or at the very least a PET scan which would certainly identify any live cancerous cell activity, provided the tumour/mass in question was greater than 1cm in size.
All the best.

The Experienced and Expert Oncologist can tell by seeing the Ultrasound or CT scan if the masses are benign or not. But they will not take the risk of confirming without ensuring the actual position. It can only be finally confirmed by taking a biopsy sample and analyzing it. But initial doubt only leads to evaluate the disease is there or not and if so the stage, grade etc. to plan the diagnosed. -

I have breast cancer they did all type of scans and found spots on my lungs, my oncologist scheduled me a biopsy of the node in my lung, and the results showed no cancer. There's no definite results unless a biopsy but the specialist if they had any doubts they would schedule a biopsy.

Yes , at hands and eyes of skilled radiologists CT results and diagnoses can be very accurate.
If he was not certain he would suggest a biopsy...so I'd rest assured after checking with your doctor who order it.
