I think the biggest misconception about Christians is that we are 'above' certain sins or behaviours. Many people forget that Christians are still human beings, and we struggle with the same sins as everyone else. I have been a Christian just about my whole life. It doesn't mean I'm perfect by any means. I still struggle with things. However, being a Christian means that I can ask Jesus to help me not struggle so much. It also means that my sins are forgiven when I truly repent. It does NOT give me a license to sin. I have to work hard to live my life according to the Bible. I go to church to learn how to not struggle as much, and to meet friends that will help me stay on the right track.

with the aid of fact the source of your data for Premise a million additionally contradicts Premise 3, i think of all you have achieved is teach that the Bible is internally inconsistent. yet you apart from mght skipped some logical steps. you decide on premises between a million and a pair of that say "no longer something different than god could nicely be the author of bewilderment" and "no longer something yet an author of bewilderment can confuse human beings." i do no longer think of the two of those postpone. yet I do consider the top for various motives. edge observe: you're very paradoxically named, Christopher.

You're looking for perfection in your fellow man, and I'm afraid you'll be doomed to disappointment. The best of us have flaws; the worst of us usually have at least one redeeming quality. Being a Christian does not place a person above the pitfalls of life.

I saw a bumper sticker that summed this up once (I know it's cheesy) CHRISTIANS AREN'T PERFECT ~ JUST FORGIVEN.
Jesus is the only one tempted who didn't sin. We screw it up about everyday. Thank God for grace and mercy. If we lived by law, Heaven would have a lot of empty seats :)
Use Jesus as your example, not Christians. We are never going to achieve perfection. Great news....it's not expected of YOU either.

There is one thing that all Christians have in common. We are all fallen humans who have a propensity towards sin. I understand what you are saying but I try my best to remember that fact.

unfortunately over time, the word "christian" has lost a great deal of its significance and is often used of someone who is religious or has high moral values instead of a true born again follower of Jesus Christ. many people who don’t believe and trust in Jesus Christ consider themselves christians simply because they go to church or they live in a "christian" nation. but going to church, serving those less fortunate than you, or being a good person does not make you a christian. as one evangelist once said, “going to church doesn’t make one a christian anymore than going to a garage makes one an automobile.”

Frankly, most ‘christians’ are probably not converted, hence the world is still in the deep labyrinth of their hearts. True biblical conversion is rare, in fact impossible.
Look,
1) when God called Noah and his family; only 8 out of the whole world were saved. Not even sure if Ham and the ladies are saved. Ham sinned and was in a way cursed by his father. All the four ladies, Mrs Noah and the three daughters-in-law - no mention of their salvation…….few chosen
2) When God called Abraham
(a) only Abraham and his immediate family were called, including Lot. If I am not mistaken, Terah the father of Abraham; was idol worshipper
(b) when Abraham professed and exercise faith in Genesis 12 (as explained in Hebrew 11:8-10), he was not saved. It was years later, in Genesis 15:6 (as explained in Romans 4) before Abraham was truly saved.
(3) Out of 603550 Israeli men above age of twenty (excluding the Levites), only two in this first generation crossed the Jordan and made it into the Promised Land. The rest all perished in unbelief (Ps 95, 105, 106, Heb 3&4).
We live, as many professing Christians will agree in the Laodicean church age; and the problem in the Laodicean church epoch/age? We ALL profess the same, the world in our hearts as God assessed us in Rev 3:17 ………..Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.
PAUSE: Why are we naked before God?
Thus the counsel of God in Rev 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Why repent, if we are already saved? It is because most professing Christians presume that they have repented, when they had not. That is why many who presumed that they sheep, pastors, leaders, teachers, elders, etc………….. Mat 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Most of us are therefore naked and unconverted and in need of the white raiment (the robe of the righteousness of Christ Jesus). Now you can understand so much apostasy and departure in Christendom. It is because many of us are NOT converted yet. Is it any wonder as the Lord Jesus said in Luke 18:8b……….. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?

Some of my greatest disappointments have occurred from this expectancy of Christians. It only goes to show you that we are all human, and God is the only one that we can have total faith in.
