It seems, he likes you very much but too shy. You did the right thing, to smile when you caught him staring at you. Maybe next time, say hi or hello to him.

Everything you have written is social behavior, that is , something anybody will do.The fact that you like Jamie is making you want to read meanings into any action of his.While he may like you , I do not think it is in the way you want him to; and I also hope you have not jumped the gun by calling your self his girl.Wait and see what is going to happen, what he is going to do and you will know if there is any hope for the both of you.
