If you look at the case of the rich man and Lazarus or liken to the parable of the 10 virgins. Make your calling and election sure.

DO YOU HAVE AN EXPERIMENTAL SENSE OR TASTE OF THE FORGIVENESS OF SIN? If you are not sure what I am talking about - most likely you had not tasted it.

Perhaps, as we see the experimental aspect of the spiritual working of the Holy Spirit, we may learn from the life of King Saul. King Saul was chosen of God, the Spirit of God came upon him (1 Sam 10:10, also 11:6, mentioned twice in the Bible) and he could see and knew that the LORD was with David (1 Sam 18:28) due to the inward attestation of the Holy Spirit. King Saul was given another heart (1 Sam 10:9), but then the Spirit of God departed from Saul and evil spirit(s) came upon him (1 Sam 16:14, 18:10, 19:9) and King Saul died without salvation.

THIS IS A CLASSIC FOOLISH VIRGIN. THIS IS BIBLICAL PNEUMOTOLOGY, WHERE A PERSON MAY BE AWAKEN BUT NOT REGENERATED TO THE SALVATION OF THE SOUL.

In a way, King Saul is like a church leader; pastor or elder etc....but one who was never converted. You unbelief and doubt may cost you your entry into heaven. Look at the 603550 Israelite male above 20's (Num 1&2); of these only two entered the Promised Land, which is a pattern of their eternal rest (Heb 3&4). The vast majority died in unbelief (Heb 3, Ps 95, 105, 106) - if only I may have some feear like you. This we are talking about biblical Christianity, not Hinduism, Isalm or anything.

It's healthy you are afraid of death. But not too much though. The problem with the world is that very few people are afraid of death. People believe they will live forever and do things without thinking about th end.

If you really want to know the trith, every night before you go to bed, pray to God (not Jesus) and ask Him to show you the right path in life.

People might discourage you from doing this, but as you can see, what harm can come from such a simple practice?

IDK...to be honest I've been the same way for the last couple of weeks. I believe in God, or something at least, and it scares me a lot. To me though I don't know if I'm worried about my death or a close friend or relatives death, so it scares me that someone I know might die pretty soon.

I read all the other responses and they say just believe, but I know its hard because that doesn't help us at all. If you ever figure it out please do that email thing and send me a message, and tell me what made you think differently.

Also, I've never experienced a death yet of someone I truly cared for, unlike you who has experienced your grandmother, but I guess I will see..............

How can you call yourself a Christian and at the same time have such basic doubts? Are you one of the many Half-way ones?
That's why I am not religious, because it's a lame proposition in the first place...and speaking of heaven....what do people do there other than wait for other family members to die in hopes that they make it there? then what? begin waiting for another? then what? Now this sounds like hell to me.

Nobody really knows any more than anyone else on this matter. People may think they do, but the fact is, none of us have ever died. We each have our own opinions and beliefs on the matter. I personally don't believe that anything happens to us when we die, other than our bodies decomposing, but this is my belief. Those who believe differently aren't any more right or wrong than I am. I guess that if there is a heaven, you'll know when you get there. If there isn't, you'll never know, because there won't be any "you" anymore to know anything. So don't be afraid. Life and death have been going on for millions of years.

Hello there,

I'm Muslim,

i think why death scares you is because of what you have build or achieve in this world and fear of leaving it behind, Money , Good Life, Wife/husband, kids, Carreer etc. I'm too fear of death and not because of those reasons i stated above, it is because i'm not sure what becoming of me (Whether I'm will enter Hell or Paradise) Or whether God have forgive my Sins. Ignore those people who said you do not have faith, they too fear or scares of death. But remenber this For me remembering Death is around the corner is good due it always remind us to do Good work or deeds in which God have instruct us to do.

Your question whether there is Heaven or Paradise , the answer is Yes, So is Hell.

Your Question on Whether your beloved grandmother will be Heaven or Paradise, Let me be honest to you here . IF your Grandmother dies as an unbeliever, ( Not a Muslim and do not follow theThe Religion of Islam) , She will not be there.

AND IF she dies as a Muslim and follow theThe Religion of Islam, sorry i cannot answer this, cause We Muslim ourselves do not know whether We are going to Heaven or Hell, We will only can cherish a great hope and prays that Allah(God) will forgive our sins and let us enters paradise.

Wallahwaalam
(God Know Best)

Salam

Why does death scare you? I am an atheist and I have come to terms with death, I am not afraid of it at all. I have embraced the fact that I will one day no longer exist but I won't feel anything, see anything or be anything. Death is a natural part of life and nothing to be afraid of. Everything in this universe dies. It's unfortunate that some die when they are children or die suddenly but for most of us, we will lead a full life. Death is a part of our existance, it gives life meaning because if we didn't die and lived forever, nothing would be sacred. The fact that we only have one shot at life makes this all the more beautiful. And there is an afterlife of sorts, by remembering your grandmother. Thinking about her and talking and laughing and crying about her. She lives one in your memory.

I'm not a Christian but I have worked as a psychic and have a lot of experience with dead people. I can pretty much guarantee that your Grandma is waiting on the other side for you. If you were very close, she'll probably come to you at the end and make the transition with you.

Don't be afraid. Live your life and enjoy it while you can.

Heaven is the throne room of the sovereign God of the universe, how could it not be perfect?

Joh 14:1 Do not let your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
Joh 14:2 In My Father's house are many dwelling places. But if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you!
Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again and will receive you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.

Death was not meant to be natural. God said he put "time indefinite into our hearts" and he purposed for us to live forever in a paradise that would cover the globe. Adam, Even, and Satan derailed that plan but just b/c it's off course doesn't mean it won't be completed. I don't believe all humans will go to heaven b/c we were originally placed on the Earth with no hope for heaven...
