are seats belts enough to be safe, especially for racing/drifting? cuz i wanted to take the airbags out for a new steering wheel. plus some1 said if you get in a accident and you don't wear a helmet you will hit the roll cage and crak you head open. is that true, isn't that why there is a seat belt?

It's true

A seat belt will help in a crash, but it won't do everything to keep you from getting killed.

it is logical to assume that with a roll cage and 4-point seat belt you will stay put in the event of an accident. crash helmets are worn because, if the car does roll over there is a chance that the roof of the car can be pushed in and maybe give you a knock on the head

A seat belt and shoulder harness will not prevent you from cracking your skull against the side window, or door frame. That's why some manufacturers add side curtain air bags. Don't even need a roll cage for this to happen.

If you're going to continue to drive your race car on the street, it may be illegal to remove the air bag/s. Better check into that first.

Would you even consider racing without a helmet?? NASCAR drivers wear them, and ALL sanctioned racing events require them.....

I ASSUME THAT THIS RACE CAR OF YOURS IS SEPARATE FROM YOUR EVERYDAY VEHICLE ?????

IF NOT YOU WILL NEED TO INFORM YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY AND AT THE SAME TIME YOU WILL LIKELY BE LOOKING FOR ANOTHER COMPANY.

ALSO WHAT YOU ARE DOING IS ILLEGAL IN MANY STATES SO I WOULD ALSO RECOMMEND THAT YOU...
