I honestly don't know. It feels like he will have to come soon, at least to punish us. After you read about Sodom and Gamora, I think what our world is currently doing seems so much worse (as I said in another question somewhere). We fight, kill and other things all in his name. We have abortion, homosexuality and casual acceptance of adultery. (yes, I know some of you don't see all of these as bad).

I wonder if it will be at the end of the world according to how we choose (ie, nuclear war or whatever) or just (as the Bible says) like a Thief in the Night. Right in the middle of an episode of Heros (or whatever) Jesus shows up! SURPRISE.

I suppose if we thought it was soon, we might start to fix things. But we don't know. We always assume we have enough time. But...

Probably about as far away as we were 100 years ago when people where predicting the end of the earth would be here in days. Perhaps the same amount of time as 30 years ago when people were heading to the hills because the end of the world was about to happen. Could also be about the same amount of time as last when when it was time for sure. There is nothing to explain it is merely another way for religions to fill your mind with fear.

we are living in end times. the world is moving to a currency free system. there is more credit card debt than ever. now they've invented a chip that can be implanted into people to track them. Christ is coming, hopefully not during my lifetime, because there are too many people that I love who I would hope would accept Christ as their Savior and become saved before the Rapture occurs....

For "molten": Christ Himself said to His followers that He would return. That pretty much means He will!

As for WHEN, only Almighty God knows, but Christians are told to watch the signs so we won't be surprised when it happens.

God bless!

I was always under the impression that he already returned. Remember the whole "rising from the dead" thing? Doesn't that count? I've had ministers tell me that people have misinterpreted the bible in that regard, and that there was no promise to return past the initial rising from the dead.

I don't really think about it. It will happen when it happens. I'm just trying to live my life here. Should it really make a difference in your behaviour? We really shouldn't have to change anything regardless of whether he come tomorrow or in 100 years.

Christ is a greek word.

Why not try using semitic words like God used through all his Prophets for the past 5,000 years ?

Who knows? Remember, things can always get worse, and things'll be pretty bad before the 2nd coming.
