Okay, it's random but my dad was watching a show about the Spanish Inquisition and there's been Holocaust documentary commercials lately and then I started thinking about everything else.

And if this is going to get deleted than that's just retarded because I'm Jewish.

"Jews were not the only ones persecuted in the Spanish Inquisition and Holocaust."

My experience with Jewish people has always been very positive. It's not personal - it's all about the religious ideology.

Jewish people have scripture which they claim makes them the chosen people above everyone else on Earth. Nobody likes to feel left out or to be told they're not as good as anyone else.

They claim that they rightfully own a piece of land that already had other people living on it. Most people think deeds trump scripture, but that didn't happen in Israel. A lot of people lost everything they had based on something they don't believe in, and they're treated like outsiders in their own home - not unlike the way Anglos treat the Native Americans.

People get touchy when people believe in scriptures that encourage genocide and slavery, then act upon it as they did about 6,000 years ago.

Then derivative scriptures attributed to Jesus and Mohammed came along and tried to change the original teachings even though they had the same source. By the time Islam came around, the Jews were hated in the region and the text of the Koran reflects that.

Later in history, the image promoted by the Catholic church of Jews as murderers of Jesus (he was actually killed by the Romans is how I read it) so the same people that brought the Crusades and Inquisitions lumped the Jews in with whomever they were oppressing that century.

Hitler got people to go along with the holocaust by manipulating Christianity, nationalism, and Norse mythology to make Germans think that Jews were a threat to them. Most of Hitler's resentment had to do with a Jewish landlord his family dealt with - he felt that they had all the money and control when he was small.

So, yeah, I can understand why Jewish people feel as if they are being singled out - no other group has been so deliberately and consistently targeted, unless you count women, and that started with the Jewish patriarchy also. The resentment is inherent to the patriarchal texts you believe in.

It's very sad - I wish everyone would just get along.

They won't because they are stupid. Just as any Prejudices is stupid.
Things that don't matter
your sex
your race
your religion (unless your religion has you trying to kill someone - not a poke at Islam - there have been Christian terrorists, too - look at Ireland)

Some people just feel the need to have someone they can pick on. It worked for Hitler.. Blame THEM! and it still seems to work for others. But it is a sham. Falsehood. No one should be picked on. Everyone from the KKK to whole countries in the middle east feel a need to blame Jews.

To them I would say: GET OVER IT. If you claim to be the better person, prove it. Your actions show that you are evil. Why would you persist in proving it?

As a Catholic, I receive plenty of picking on about my faith. I believe that the Jewish church is the basis of my religion. I believe that Jesus COMPLETED the Jewish faith and it became my church. But that in no way means they deserve anything negative. I might explain why I believe it, but if you don't care... I'm not going to be hurt by it. I'm not going to attack you in an attempt to show I"m right. That's absurd.

If you're not with me, I must attack you seems to be the new world order. Sad.

The struggles of the Jewish people are an important part of history. It's not a matter of 'leaving them alone.' They're not being harmed by these shows. It's a retelling of horrible occurrences, yes, but it's also necessary for us to learn the atrocities of the past so they aren't repeated in the future. It's also sociologically and culturally important.

I think it would be wrong to ignore the Holocaust.

Because of perseverance, self discipline, intelligence, progression through conservatively principled beliefs, being able to properly analyze, interpret and implement an idea and tenacity maybe?. These are very truly unique qualities that are only found by those who tend to travel the paths least traveled. That much i do know for sure.

People won't leave the Jews alone because they are physical reminders of Jesus, and they hate Jesus. People percieve the anointing and favor for the Jews for the sake of their forefather Abraham, and they are jealous of it. As John Hagee said, 'Antisemitism is a sin, and as a sin, it damns the soul'.

What people? I think people need to know the Holocaust happened and what caused it to happen, so nothing like that ever happens again. You do realize that that President of Iran says it never happened right?

Good question. Because there are some religions that will hate if others don't believe as they do. You will come to know them as you make your way through life.

People need scapegoats, and as time went on, people started blaming the Jews, Irish, Indians, and Arabs for all their problems.

People will leave the Jewish people alone when Christ comes back to save His chosen people. Until then, satan still burns with anger towards the Jewish people.
