I would suggest doing a word study on Holiness using a Strong's concordance.

Holiness has to do with the presence of God. God is Holy. The Sabbath is Holy. The Temple of God is Holy. Communion is Holy and Tithe is Holy.

I'm sure that there are many sites on this. AmericanCatholic.com has many stories of saints who lived very holy lives. It did not happen overnight. It was a life long struggle.
