Well, that depends. What exactly would be going on in heaven and hell?

Many people have this conception of hell being about burning in fire and being tortured forever. Of course, no one would want that. However, if hell was just like a separate nation for people who didn't believe in God, I think I would like to go there. Education, science and technology would be a lot better than on the other side.

Heaven seems to a far more abstract concept than hell. You go with God and then what? Do you become one of God's angel servants? Do you praise and feed his ego all day? If so, I'll pass. However, if heaven was a place of infinite delight and indulgence where I can have anything I imagine, of course anyone would want that.

Big if. I shall take it in context of God existing precisely as the Christian Bible describes.

I would not bow down and serve a sadistic, cruel being as is described in the Bible (namely the old testiment) Jesus is good, methinks, and a billion times wiser than any before or after him in that book, and if the rest of it were thrown away, I could even be Christian myself maybe. However, the rest of it depicts a cruel master.

I would not serve that one, and if the punishment for not bowing to an evil god is hell, then off to hell with me. I would sooner burn for all eternity than serve the Christian God

Heaven is a state of mind. I think all my fantasies would come true and I would live forever in bliss. I don't think of heaven as a bunch of white puffy clouds and a big faceless bearded guy sitting on a throne with a bunch of angels flying around. It's whatever I want it to be.

If hell existed, we're already there.

I'm another one who prefers the idea of just dying when I die and not having to think about eternity. I'd get bored.

But if I must answer I choose hell. That's where the most interesting people go.

Neither. I don't want to spend an eternity anywhere. The thought of "eternal life" is pretty frightening to me, to be honest. I really think I'd go insane if I was forced to exist forever.

I guess heaven sounds nice, but both choices would be unbearable after a while, in my opinion.

permit me start up off via asserting: Hahahahaha. i don't have faith in invisible gods, ghosts, or any early existence fantasies. you may no longer scare me with your threats of hell. and you realize precisely what i'm speaking approximately. in case you asked a muslim approximately your destiny for no longer believing in Allah, he might say you're destined for hell. And yet, you will not be in the slightest degree in contact because you do not have faith islam is real. definite, i might quite spend eternity in hell than with a jerk such as you. thankfully, as quickly as you die so does your strategies and there will be not greater expertise.

It depends upon which hell (and what circle). Dante's Limbo sounds fun. I could talk to Homer, how awesome would that be? Virgil, Aristotle, Archimedes, Confucius, Siddhartha, so amazing. Of course, with heaven I could talk to Aquinas, Francis, Newton, Dante himself. Both have their upsides and downsides. Even then, living forever would blow. I'd eventually run out of things to do/talk about.

I love the use of the word "if" preceding, "Heaven", "Hell" and "eternity" all in the same sentence!!
