Everyone has embarrassing moments. You are not alone. To over- come embarrassing moments requires a good self image. You need to consider who you are, what you stand for and if you are a kind and loving person. What other people think of you is not as important as what you think of yourself. It doesn't hurt to laugh at yourself when a joke is played on you. It shows you are the bigger person. The older you get, the less incidents like this will effect you. Don't ever let another person dictate your feelings and behavior. You must run your own life in a way that makes you satisfied with the out come. Don't take offense even when offense is intended. A little practice and you will conquer this problem.

Here's an interesting fact:
You're not the center of attention!
I'm not being sarcastic here. The fact is everybody gets embarrassed all the time. And everyone thinks the whole world notices when they do something stupid.
Now think about it. Everyone out there is focused on the "false impression" that everyone is watching them and noticing what they're doing. They're too busy worrying about their selves to pay much attention to the mistakes someone else makes.
Sure, sometimes people do notice. They might even laugh.
You've done that yourself. But how long did it take for you to forget about what that person did? Not long huh?
Do you really think someone went home and wrote in her diary: "dear diary, today I saw Stephi fart!"?
Nope.
Most likely it was: "Dear diary, today I was so embarrassed, the whole class saw me! Everyone was laughing. 'll never live this down."
Meanwhile all the people that person thought were laughing, went home and wrote in their diary: Dear diary, today I was so embarrassed.."
Get the point?

everyone gets embarrassed, almost every day. the best way i have found to feel less embarrassed is to ACT like you are not embarrassed. even if you are mortified inside, just play it off and go about your business. the more you pretend not to be embarrassed the less you will feel embarrassed as time goes on. if people try to talk to you about your "moment" just casually say "oh yeah that sucked." and let it go. if someone laughs at you for whatever it was just laugh along and let it drop. if you make it seem like you don't care, people will let it go that much faster.

Much of the time, you're the one who is refusing to let it go. Most people are too occupied with themselves to remember your moment too long...and if they are...the best response is to laugh and tell them, nicely, they really need to get a life if that's the best thing they have to talk about.
You'll never be embarassment free. I'm an adult, and some days I may as well just leave my foot in my mouth.

just realize that everyone feels embarrassed at times. Just try to laugh it off and try not to take your self too seriously. Also, visualize everyone you feel insecure with standing naked. It's amazing how this will change your attitude. Always, remind yourself that you are a great person and just as good as others. Remember too, that no one is perfect. No one.

Laugh at your self. For example: When I trip and fall in public and my friends laugh at me. I tell them "I am taking acting classes and this weeks lesson is How to Fall on Purpose and Make it Look Real."
They are like really? I say no just joking.
If my enemies are the ones laughing at me I tell them the same thing but leave off the no, just joking, part. Instead add on "Thanks, your reaction was just what I was looking for. I will pass the test on Friday."

if people mention it go along with it and laugh. Showing you are embarrassed just gives people what they want and laughing eases the embarrassment. Something embarrassing happened to me and I tried to ignore it and pretty soon I didn't notice it. Tell people that what happened is so yesterday! good luck!

If it's high school everybody is embarresed. Or at least most people. That's just part of being in high School. Just learn to laugh about it and work on your self confidents. I'm sure it's nothing that has not happened to someone before...

I know its hard, but you have to learn to laugh it off.
When I was younger, I felt the exact same way, i was always embarrassed by every little thing, and i felt stupid and was really hard on myself for it.
slowly though, i just started to laugh it off. i would take a breath, go "wow.. that sucks" and just laugh. it takes effort, but its really the only way to get through it

if it's stuff others know about, laugh about it yourself. Just let loose and joke about it yourself, but not overly. Just act like you don't care and you'll think that why, you totally got this covered. Good luck!
