Many people say that Mormons are not Christians and teach things that go against the Bible...

I took lessons from the LDS Missionaries for 5 years, and it took me those 5 years to accept it. In those 5 years, and even continuing today, I have not read anything that goes against the Bible....

So can you show me something, with SCRIPTURAL reference(and make sure it's the correct verse before you post it) from Mormon scriptures that goes against what the bible says?

You don't know what we teach, obviously, because 2 of your 3 examples are not allowed in our church.

The ironic thing is that the Bible can be interpreted about 100 different ways and everyone assumes that THEIR interpretation is the correct one.

Gratefully we have additional scripture and modern revelation. I'm sure people will point to some verse and say it means a certain thing and they'll try to make it look like it conflicts.

In the Book of Mormons, the teachings of the New Testament are repeated verbatim, purportedly to proclaim the same Gospel to the "lost tribes of Israel" in America as was proclaimed to the Jews in Palestine. Among these 'repeated" gospels is the Our Father. In the Book of Mormon, the line "For the Kingdom the power and the glory are yours, etc." is alloted a separate verse. In the standard Bible, it is not. Why? Because this line is a gloss, i.e. it has been added by subsequent redactors of the Bible. Jesus never said those lines, but because its a beautiful and innocuous line, it became integrated into the standard Bible that we know today. What does this show? First, the Book of Mormon is putting words into the mouth of Jesus. Second, this is just one proof the so-called Book of Mormon was invented by one of those bible-thumping fanatics of that period. Take up your Book of Mormon again and if scales still do not fall from your eyes, sing Amazing Grace with fervor.

To Ray -

Hey man, sorry if this sounds arrogant, but before you copy and paste scholarly "evidences", you should research it yourself first. Starting with Wikipedia's article on Proxy Baptism- and then you can go from there. There are countless articles that say that baptism for the dead is wrong and mormons are wrong for practicing it, yet I have not read a single article that addresses all the evidence found that support and prove that the early Christian Churches practiced Baptism for the Dead - http://farms.byu.edu/display.php?id=67&table=transcripts - this is a good start(written a few decades ago; ALOT more evidence has been found since) - even evidences that Christ himself taught his disciples this doctrine.
As for the scripture you read in Alma- I would suggest you read the actual chapter so that you can understand the context. Alma was talking to members of the church who had started to become wicked. It didn't reference at all those who had not received the gospel in this life.

Trinity - nowhere in the bible does it mention the word trinity or triune- The catholic church even stated that trinity is not taught in the bible. They claim certain passages allude to it, but thats about it. I suggest you read this article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trinity#Trinity_in_Scripture . Trinity wasn't even accepted until the 4th century. There is far more evidence to support that God, Christ, and the Spirit are three seperate individuals - either that or Christ called his own voice out of heaven and then decended upon himself in the form of a dove...

Plurality of Gods - I would suggest you read the first few chapters of Genesis and notice how God refers to himself as "us" and "we." Did you know that the God is a translation of the word Elohim which correctly translated is the plural form of the word God? Basically that means that the very first verse in the bible should read "In the beginning the Gods created the heavens and the earth."
Mormons do believe that there are many gods, but that we only worship ONE God our Heavenly Father.

I thought the definition of "Christians" were people who followed the commandments of Christ - namely love god, and love your neighbor as yourself.

Their version of the Bible goes against the Bible, the whole thing. The use of words is very important. One small word used the wrong way can and does change the whole meaning of a verse. Such as, John 1:1 In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was "a" god. The KJV and the NIV says that In the beginning was the Word and and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Take note of the use of the "a" in the Mormon text, versus it's lack in the KJV, or the NIV. small changes like this make all the difference in the world and alter meanings. You'll also find that Satan is given equal status to God, which he doesn't have. Satan is a created being, and is very much subordinate to God. You'll also find in the Mormon teachings that works play a very important role in salvation. The Bible contradicts that, The Bible says that salvation is a free gift from God. Counter me if you please, I'll be more than happy to dialog with you, but I am right, Mormonism is not. Yes, I have done study on it, and I do know what I am talking about. All roads of faith do not lead to heaven, only one does, and that is only found through Jesus Himself.

I can show you how The Book of Mormon contradicts mormon beliefs read Alma 11:26-31

"And Zeezrom said unto him: Thou sayest there is a true living God? And Amulek said: Yea, there is a true and living God. Now Zeezrom said: Is there more than one God? And he answered, NO. Now Zeezrom said unto him again: How knowest thou these things? And he said: An angel hath made them known unto me"

Yet you believe in many Gods.

Mormons claim that the BOM contains the fullness of the gospel, yet the BOM does not once mention baptism for the dead. Numerous bible passages clearly tell us that you leave this world either saved or damned but all my references are KJV except Alma 34:31-35 verse 32 stresses that "this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God..."
verse 33 warns; ... do not procrstinate the day of your repentance until the end; for after this day of life, which is given us to prepare for eternity, behold, if we do not improve our time while in this life, then cometh the night of darkness wherein there can be no labor performed..... For behold, if ye have procrastinated the day of your repentance even until death, behold, ye have become subjected to the spirit of the devil and doth seal you his; and this is the final state of the wicked.

Yet you believe in baptism for the dead
(it's also refuted Nephi 9:38; Mosiah 16:5,11, & Mosiah 26:25-27)

Both of those beliefs go against my Bible. Let me know if need more info. I'm tired of typing.

The mormons was founded by a man that said he found some new books of the bible. In the new world. That pertain to the old and new testament. But the proof of the pudding has been lost and never documented. So you go by the category of that scripture where Jesus says beware of false prophets. Many will use my name, They are wolves in sheeps clothing. So when jesus tells me to beware and look for false prophets, and we learn that the mormons are adding stuff to the book, then people get skeptical.
