I am so glad that you asked- first of all, you would not be asking this question if God was not seeking you out.

1- admit that you are a sinner
2- confess and repent- turn from your sin, back to God
3- accept Christ as FULL payment from your sin
4- and then give your life to Christ, and allow Him to lead and guide you , and ask Him to help you live for Him.

Please email if you would like to talk more-God bless you

First you have to believe that Jesus Christ really is the Son of God and your Saviour, and that He forgives our sin. Then you have to be able to acknowledge the fact that you are a sinner, and that you need His help to live. Pray--talk to Jesus--and tell him that you do realise you are a sinner, and ask him to be your Saviour and Lord.

It's best to do this in the presence of a Christian you know and trust, so that you have a witness. Because often doubts will come about whether it was a "real" experience or just emotion or whatever, and you can ask your friend to remind you of it and to pray for you and support you as you begin your new life.

So, now you've believed in your heart and confessed out loud that Jesus is your Lord and Saviour. You are a Christian. It's good to be baptised as an outward sign to others of your decision; format --sprinkle or dunk--is up to you, the important thing is doing it and becoming part of an active Christian community where you can be taught, nurtured and supported and where you can develop the talents and gifts God has given you.

Some churches now say that baptism isn't as important as the prayer and decision, but if Jesus was baptised to set our example, I say go for it! John didn't want to baptise him because he knew who Jesus was, but Jesus told him to go ahead in order to "fulfill all righteousness." Jesus also told His disiciples to "baptise in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost."

Attending worship and Bible study services will help you learn more about your new faith and support you along the way, as well as making new, like-minded friends.

Best of blessings in your new life!

there is only one thing you can do to become a christian, i don't understand why some people are answering the way they are because it's not biblical. the bible clearly states that to be a christian and to make it to heaven you only need to believe in jesus, call upon his name and simply ask him to save you and forgive you of your sins. if you mean it when you say it, god will know and you are from that moment on a saved christian, and you will see god working in life in every aspect. if you have any questions feel free to email me. and the thing about being baptized, it's not for salvation, it's just something people do, as a symbol to the world that they have accepted christ and they want to publicly acknowledge their love for him and faith. god bless.

Admit that you're a sinner (we all fall short of the glory of God).
Ask Jesus to come Into your heart and be your Lord & Savior. Don't parrot a prayer when repenting. Just pour your heart out, like you're talking to your very best friend.Read your Bible & pray everyday. Don't get caught up In religion or denomination, you'll only get confused.
Find a good Bible based church that teaches the Whole Bible. Blessings to you...Heaven rejoices over every soul that has received Jesus as their Lord & Savior.

becoming a chirstian doesnt just involve 1 or 2 easy steps there are a lot of things that you should do. If you havent been baptised that would be one, but really the 1st step is to dedicate your self to God. Then you need to find a denomination( methodism, United Church of Christ ect). Then finding the right church is good. Although each branch of a donomiation is the same they pastor/priest/reverend can make a big diff along with the atmosphere. Find something that suits you and go from there!! Make it your journey. Each person finds their faith differently and takes their own path!! Good Luck!

Become a disciple of Christ. Trust him to teach you the best way to live.

Edit: It's impossible to be "Christian" without being a disciple. Live the new life that Christ invites you to, know what he taught, and live what he taught. "Follow Him!"

Edit: I know this may sound wrong to some of you... but she wasn't asking how to be saved. She wants to be a Christian. That means being a disciple of Christ.

Repent of your sins, believe in Jesus that He has saved you and walk with him. I encourage you to be baptized but it will not save you but it is a symbol of your new faith in Jesus. Find a good Bible believing church if you are not in one and learn as much as you can about God.

you don't need to be baptized necessarily. but in order to show the world that you are changed you must be baptized but you can still be a Christian if you are not (i am not i am baptized catholic from when i was a baby). You must change your life. You must devote yourself to God and grow in his word. i have been a Christian for 3 years and i am not a fully developed Christian it is only now that I have become intimately close with God and it feels wonderful. I love to pray its like talking to a loving parent. Prayer helps IMMENSELY. it has been what has brought me to close to him. also going to a church and learning from his word. Also you can join a bible study (it helps to learn and read the bible).

Getting baptized won't make you Christian. All you have to do is start up a personal relationship with Jesus and understand what he did for you on the cross.. He paid your debt so you can be free. That's it. No rituals, no rules, just go and live free from the bondage of sin.
