If you're saying it as a VERB, it means "CALIFICAR" this is the action of grading an exam or quiz or whatever.
You can also say "grado" when you use it as the level you're studying at.

It is grado I've taken advanced spanish classes and according to several translators if you type grade it converts it to grado in spanish
