I used to think it wasn't but, now that I am older, I would really like to find someone to lose it with.
It isn't even about the sex, it is about the connection you have with a person during. You are never more physically/emotionally naked than when you are having sex!
I long for the day that I find that person!

I think its different for every individual. When I was in a 2 yr long committed relationship I decided I was ready and lost my virginity at an age many would consider young (15). I am 20 now and am longer with that person but still have no regrets, to this day we are great friends and happy to have lost our virginity with each other.

No it is NOT over-rated. it's just hard to find. In today's society, sex is just another typical part of dating, but it doesn't have to be that way. Waiting is a decision you make for yourself and no one else, and it's worth it 10 times over. It makes you better and stronger, that you never surrender your dignity of being some guys one night stand. I lost mine when I was 14 I think, and while I don't regret the girl i was with at the time (I still think of her sometimes) I do regret that it never felt the same way after her. It is the most wonderful thing to share with your mate, but if you give in, it will never be the same again. Besides, it keeps away the losers that just want in your pants.

Good question. I am a16 year old boy. I am trying really hard to not loose my virginity. I don't want to force it. I want to do it with the right person. The first time is somewhat priceless if you know what I mean. I don't want to loose it to some hoe, bottom line.
I guess it all comes down to morals, culture, how you were brought up.
I don't think there is a right or wrong time to do it or who it should be with. Its a personal decision.

the rock is black and cold, but hot, maybe white, but not to be racists, i love people, hate is bad and sometimes u have to pull the extra penny out of ur pocket in order to have a lucky day, unless u don't and the tails wag in ur face, then u know the fish bicycle
In other words, yes. Virginity is beyond overrated. Unless you fall into the unfortunate crowd who has religious beliefs saying otherwise, there is absolutely no need to "save yourself" for someone. That's not to say throw yourself at possible partners like some street-whore, but If you're with a partner who you're comfortable with, relieve your sexual tension. Stress kills.

No. I wish I would have waited because I wasted myself on someone who did not care about me. I think of how great it would have been to have been in love and it meant something to the both of us. But I guess that is a stupid teen for ya.

No it's not overrated, especially if the person holds the ultimate gift close to their heart.

NO, I agree that sometimes the sex is.
Think carefully about this as it is a special gift that you can give to someone you really care about. Once it's gone, it's gone.
