Check Google for information on Life magazine. This was a picture magazine. Look for a reference where you can see some of the pictures.

There weren't any African-Americans in 1930. They were called Negroes. After that, they were called colored people.

Back then they were "blacks" just as white people were "whites." They wore what anyone else of that generation wore during the depression. Mainly "flapper" clothing.
