I have a big crush on my professor and I'm really tempted to write him an email telling him that it's the reason why I have been having a hard time focusing in class. It's the honest to goodness truth. Is it a bad idea? I don't want anything, just his mercy. I'm not stupid, I'm just distracted.

He doesn't look much older than me. We exchanged 'looks' at the start of the semester, but then I stopped it and things went downhill. He can be kind of rude seeming, but then sometimes he's really nice. I think maybe he likes me a little bit too. I don't know, but my classwork is suffering.

No offense,
but thats a really bad idea.
It would just make things awkward,
theres nothing he can do about it,
and you'd make yourself seem like an airhead.
Try to sort it out on your own.

I am a firm believer in the notion that we can not select whom we love or have a crush on.However, we can control what we do in given circumstances. You have a teacher- student relationship here that is governed by societal and school rules and laws. While I don't think your feelings is a bad idea, sending him an email about your feelings is a big no-no.If you truly think being in his class is a distraction for you, then I suggest you switch to a different schedule. Although I do not know what you mean when you say you want just his mercy, I am hoping you will prove you're not stupid by simply keeping your romantic desires to yourself , don't get your instructor in trouble, and just wait for the end of this current term.Anything else would be truly insane as you said.

LoveBird:

Are You In The 5th Grade? :-)

C'mon~ getta grip, girl!
You are in school to LEARN!
Keep your head~
Out Of Your Own Vagina!

Ask yourself this *question below~
whenever you are considering
composing & SENDING an email
to ANYBODY!

* "Do I want the whole world to read
this emale? Is this something that is
profoundly Important for ALL to see?
Should I go ON RECORD?"

YOU answer the question!

(Yes ..... It's a "bad" IDEA!)

Possible solutions?
Change class section numbers

RECORD the lectures for you if you
are unable to change or focus!

Now here is my good news 4 U!

Next year or the year after~
when you see the Prof~
Flirt With Him!

Until then?
Keep your focus & head on educational

Well, this sure is a hard one, but I'd have to agree with Brennan, that definetly seems to be the most reasonable answer to this situation. But, just incase that doesn't work, either talk to your professor, or the school counselor, asking to be switched classes. Good luck!

Bad idea unless you want him to put some expectations into the equation. This may also make him uncomfortable. So I don't think you should do it. Just be an adult and get through it.

No, don't tell him. It would probably tempt him, you would end up hooking up, you would get pregnant, he would lose his job and go to prision, you would drop out of school, have one baby after another while sitting home collecting welfare and getting fat. It just isn't worth it....always play the tape all of the way through before you act.

That's not insane to be honest everyone should tell people how they really feel about them good or bad positive or negative, by doing that you relieve yourself from any unwanted stress. So my advice would be yes feel free to email him and tell him the honest truth.

No. Don't e-mail. Truly, you need to get a grip on yourself. Do you want to get him in trouble? Don't be selfish. He is professional. You just have a crush. You'll get over it.
