It saddens me to see so much hatred to the Latino community. It's interesting how every "minority" gets their moment of negativity. During the 9-11 incident everyone hated anyone who was from or looked Middle-Eastern. Before it was the Black/White conflicts, and now its the anti-"illigals". Everyone needs to realize that yes there are illegals who are not ethical or have good morals. Keep in mind that it is that way with EVERY people of every race. And as the term "illegals", how do you point one out? Is it the color of their skin or the language they speak? I am latina, and I take it very personal that they view every illegal as the devil or something of that sort. Many people come to make a better living, they take jobs that Americans do not want! Tell me how many Americans want to clean homes, work fast-food restaurants and construction? Not many. And at that, many do come from Mexico, and if you know anything about the economy, you would know they are among one of the countries with the highest GDP in the world, so were not so poor after all... I would admit it is thanks to NAFTA, which the great US put together. That shows teamwork goes a long way... My point on this is to show not every latino is illegal, nor as bad as the media/ppl in general make us seem. I guess the saying "One rotten apple ruins the bunch" really is true....

They came into my home without being invited , you know , trespassing on my property .
What can't you understand about that ,get it !!!!!!
Only the poor , uneducated and unskilled are coming here .
They are not donating any thing to the wealth of America , they are only dragging the US down into the third world like Mexico .
Now if they were skilled and educated then they would be doing something for America's Citizens and giving not taking .
You know the legal Latinos have let this happen to themselves , by not protesting the illegals coming here illegally .

Illegal immigrants have done many things:

Broken the laws of this nation, thus showing disrespect for the country they are choosing to selfishly come into.

Since they don't go through INS, there is no screening done for communicable diseases like tuberculosis. They are risking the health of each and every individual they come into contact with by not going through the legal channels.

To stay on the health issue, and since they aren't screened, they bring in diseases that would not normally get far into this nation - such as bird flu, SARS, and so on. If they are not screened, and they are carrying the viruses, they stand to potentially take out more individuals than any attack from a "terrorist". THAT concerns me greatly.

See, you look at all of this on a "personal" level. I have nothing against anyone coming into this nation to have "the American dream", but don't blow smoke up our butts and tell us it is the only option! Illegal immigration is ILLEGAL. That is the long and short of it all. Breaking the laws will get someone deported - here legally or not. So I am thinking that there is no good that comes from coming into this nation illegally.

2 wrongs do make a right. The illegals make life harder for everyone, be it up front, or effectively so. They have no right to be here and all means, legal or other wise should be employed to drive them out. They cost the taxpayers money that should not have to be spent on them. Let Mexico take care of their own since they sure would not help our poor. If Mexico can't, or won't, then perhaps these people should mount a revolt in Mexico to initiate a representative government like America has and model the new Mexico after the ideas that our government was based upon. Not up to that, oh well, go home and fend for yourselves as best you can. Your poverty and poor government is not our fault, nor our responsibility to make it go away.

In general: caused the cost of my health care to go up, created a 4 hour wait in the emergency room for my 94 yr old Mom, while they took care of a waiting room of illegals! Now some idiot in my state wants to make the children all be taught Spanish starting in Kindergarten! What about the Latin you need for higher education in a number of fields of occupation? What about Chinese? Since we are doing so much business with them, shouldn't we be learning this language?

They have killed innocent citizens in our City by driving Drunk, without a Driver's Licenses and zero insurance. Sadly, there is not much we can do except put them in jail and pay for their upkeep. Our City Council wants to put teeth in a new Immigration Policy. They want to immediately Deport any illegal arrested for any crime.
