No, I dont think it woud calm you that much but it may make you sweat. When I was in the Army, I had to make several death notifications to families of someone killed in Vietnam and I learned that a good shot of Vodka helped me a lot. I carried a bottle in my army sedan and would take a shot about 10 or 15 minutes before making the notification. It sure helped me get through a notification without cracking up.

Not really, it calms but it also muddles the brain. Better to work on calming yourself without chemistry.
