Agree. Singers are like athletes because they warm up, practise, perform and experience similar pressures as athletes.
The human voice is also one of the most unpredictable instruments as you don't always know what sound will come out when you open your mouth. I guess it depends on your health and well being at the time.

Agree. You need to warm it up, get it 'running', and take care of it as you would an instrument. It's the most special musical instrument in my opinion, because every singer sounds different.

As A singer I have to agree - Your voice is an instrument and must be cared for same as a flute, guitar or piano. It must be tuned up before a performance and without practice it can sound like crap -

as a singer i would totally agree. every other instrument will sound the same regardless of what person plays it, assuming they have comparable skills. but everyone has their own distinct and unique voice!! :)
