Sometimes the guy has to make the first move. I have seen guys that sit there and wait and wait for the girl to come to them. After 8 years I would suggest going out and trying to meeet somebody yourself.

Funny.
Most men ask "How do I keep my mind off the fact that I've been MARRIED for 8 years?
Is there any tips/tricks? It's really depressing me.

Well first ask yourself, Do I need a girlfriend? I haven't been in a relationship for 6 years because i have other things to worry about right now. If you feel that you should be dating, ask a girl out! If she says no its not the end of the world. there is 300 millions people in the USA. So don't worry you will find someone! good luck.

Do something that keeps you busy! Why don't you try to get involved in some kind of activity that allows you to meet new people, girls in particular? And don't worry about what anyone will think of your long wait. Personally I think that patience is a virtue (which I don't have). And get to know yourself better. Being alone is also a bliss, and by knowing yourself better you can find the qualities you want others to see.

It's no big deal. I've known people that have been single for 20 years and then got married to the girl of their dreams. There's no point rushing. When the time comes, you will know, whether or not you're trying.

I've been single 9 years. It's not completely good and not completely bad. That's just the way it is. Learn to accept things as they are. If you meet someone with whom you might be able to develop a relationship, go for it. If not, so be it.

what happens is, you think too much about the this personal situation and then you become very depressed and trust me, i've been there. it feels good to actually do it, and do it right. or just do it and have fun. :P
what you don't need is a gf -> i'm assuming,
or a relationship but it's what you want.
so take your time and make things happen.
8 years has been a while. it's about time. :P
^^ goodluck.

After my parents divorced, my dad was single for 20 + years....he's now remarried and happier than ever.....sometimes things just take time...it's better to be single than be with someone who makes you miserable...
look at it this way, you've got complete freedom, enjoy it while it lasts...you're able to get up and go whenever you please...do what YOU like to do....you don't have fights to worry about...and you don't have to worry about whether or not her parents are going to approve of you....enjoy these moments while they last....
